PLEASE DO NOT STORE YOUR THINGS HERE. If you look at more reviews, customers are complaining about the continual price increases. Within the span of 18 months or less I have had three price increases all based on the same thing, demand. When asked what demand and the specifics of how they arrived at the amount I was told that corporate does that. Heather, the office manager refused to give me corporate's number. Also, I was in the office and spoke with Heather on June 3rd and there was no mention of an increase. She said she didn't know about it; however, the letter that was sent was dated May 24th for the price increase to be effective June 25th. I would encourage all that have the same experience to contact Austell Corporation, the parent office of Compass Self Storage and contact the Better Business Bureau. Even if Compass doesn't respond it will hinder their rating and more people will be hesitant about renting from them. They are price gouging during a pandemic with no thought of the customers. They rarely answer the phone on site. Most of the time the central office has no information and they send an email that does not get responded to by Heather nor anyone else at the actual rental sites As customers, we aren't receiving anything additional for the continual price increases except a letter with no explanation. I didn't even receive the last letter. They try every method of contacting you if you are a day late; however, they send a letter and nothing more to notify you of a price increase that you may or may not receive less than 30 days in advance. Read moreHello, I'm writing to report Sterling Cannon (GM) for the location mentioned in the subject line. Upon arrival at 2pm there was no one onsite and a sign at the door stated someone will return at 2:30p. So I waited and my father had soon arrived after me as we were waiting to switch the account to my name from his name. Sterling came flying in the car about 2:45p to open the door for myself and another caucasian couple that were waiting for him also. He gets out of the car to open the door, I walk in behind him and he asks was I there first? I replied yes I was her first. He then says how can I help you? I proceeded to explain why I was there and he immediately states I'd have to wait for my Dad even though I did get a chance to fully explain nor did he care to ask more specific questions. Minutes later the couple walk in to wait till their turn, as he was assisting someone that came after me also. While working the customer when the couple comes in he asks them also if they were here first? At this point, I commented why would I lie about who was here first? He IMMEDIATELY gets an ATTITUDE with me and tells me what he's not gonna do (just look at your cameras from yesterday 7/28 around 2:30p). He goes with idle threats of calling the police and that he's not gonna service me. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR AND DEFINITELY FROM A GM!! I no longer to deal with him...
