Today, August 19, 2024. I just left AutoZone. I went to buy bulbs for my Audi. I knew I needed one front bulb, suspected I also need a back bulb on the same side. I donāt know the salesperson that assisted me. He was a black man kinda thin with a long part on the side in his hair. He started out questionable. He didnāt want to answer any questions. He wanted to out talk me. He said because it was daytime, he could not see if my rear lights were working. Previously, he had just told me that the right side was not working. He found the bulbs to the rear. He then said again that he could see to tell me, if I need them. He suggested I go see an old friend of his to do an assessment and to put the bulb in. While he was taking I researched the installation of the bulbs. I said this easy, you canāt do it. He said again, he could not tell if I needed them. He called his friend. His friend said he was out and would be there shortly. He said itās not like he is going to charge you a hundred dollars. I said I know. Heās not charging me a hundred, fifty or twenty-five dollars. I saw the SCAM. I call my daughter to tell her what happened. She describe him to me. I said yes! She said he tried something similar with me. They are closest to me, but I want be returning.
I came home. I asked my daughter to look out the window to see if my rear lights are working. She said they are working. The same thing the salesman and I did at the store and he couldnāt see them. My daughter said he doesnāt want to come out in the heat. I said that is why he told me to come back at 6:00 pm. I am not going back. He wanted to charge me for lights I did not need. He wanted his friend at some shop to make money. I
I am sure my daughter and myself are not the only persons he has done this too!

One was stocking, another was checking out a customer and the third, a Hispanic young man, was standing at a computer. When the last employee made eye contact with me he began typing. I went nearby and stood while he continued typing. After a short while I asked if he was serving customers today. His response, while still looking across at the computer screen was, āAll day every day.ā He continued typing. When he finally stopped typing and looked over at me, I stepped forward and said, āFirst of all, young man, I donāt care that you serve customers all day everyday, you have not tried to serve me since I came in.ā I then told him I wanted my battery checked. He walked with me out to my car. It was sprinkling just a bit. He checked it and said the battery was dead. We went inside and I asked about installing the battery. He said they donāt install them in the rain. I told him it was only sprinkling. Then he said they donāt replace batteries in my Lexus. I walked away never intending to come back to this store again. I felt this young man didnāt want to serve me. I then went to another AutoZone store on Hwy 54 in Fayetteville. Interestingly, RC, an employee at that store replaced my battery without hesitation and with great customer service. This goes to show the importance of one individual. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to the Fairburn location May 12, 2020 at 5:30pm to charge my battery for my E350, and to verify is it a good battery or bad battery. They gave me ticket and told me to come back in 2 hours. I came back to the store the same day at 7:44pm, there was one guy in the front. He said he couldn't get my battery his co-worker would have to. After waiting 10 minutes, one customer checkout. Once they were done I asked could I please have my battery. The clerk said I'm trying to help you get your battery, he never moved a muscle to help. The clerk then asked me to pass him the cart in the middle of the walkway. I did reluctantly. Then the clerk said I can go get my own battery. I was shocked that he asked me that. I told the clerk l need the results from the test, please. Once again he brushed it off as if i wasn't there for 15minutes standing and waiting. Finally, I got fed up with the games and I told the clerk I'll get my battery and test it somewhere else. The clerk was just fine not providing customer service. It'll be a long time before I give this location my money. I'll just keep going to the location in...
