Cost: prices were very reasonable. I was surprised how little I walked out paying each time. I had insurance, but even so! Not been my experience at other places.
Treatments: I got a deep cleaning and five cavities filled, with local anesthesia. Sook did the deep clean and her gentleness was next level. A dentist whose name I’m sorry I’ve forgotten did the fillings. He was competent and quick and nice. The only pain I felt was from the needle for numbing. One of the teeth was sensitive after being filled and required a follow up for a fluoride treatment. A different dentist saw me for that who was very friendly and quick. I think he was the dentist who started the practice.
Service: Best dental experience ever. Best care I’ve received from ANY medical provider, honestly. I’m on the autism spectrum and with my sensory processing issues, even minor dental work is extremely difficult. The team was kind, thoughtful, thorough, skilled, and so gentle- everyone from front desk to the hygienists and the dentists get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
I sent them an email before I went and they were the literal best. They offered stress balls, as many breaks as needed, kindness and direct communication, willingness to explain what was was going to happen step by step so I could prepare myself, and never once did they shame me for sensitivity I can’t control.
Also, I don’t think I’m special or getting extra good service. I think they’re just like this as a team! I met a woman in the waiting room who also said this was the literal best dentist she’d ever been to and that she traveled two hours to get there every time.
It had been YEARS since I’d been able to go back more than once to an office bc of terrible experiences. Not only have I been back to MJM but I recommend them to everyone I know in the DMV. The whole team seems to actually care about your well being and that’s 🤯🤯🤯.

Read moreComing into the office was like coming into a warm, inviting family. My first visit was Feb 2018. I was greeted warmly and introduced to my hygienist after a short wait. I have extreme dental anxiety and I can barely handle x-rays and a teeth cleaning without panic. My hygienist was patient and gentle. She also gave great tips about flossing and mouthwash. Dr. Murray was also patient and great at explaining what was happening with my teeth and gums, what would occur on my visit (special x-rays) and what needed to happen on my next visit (a filling). I usually hate my visit to the dentist and have to mentally prepare for weeks in advance, but I didn't hate my visit here. There is a tv in the procedure room and all types of techniques to help patients relax, and apparently a pain free way to give the Novocain shot (I am not ready to investigate that yet). They have nitrous oxide ( a must for anything more than cleaning) and close...
Read moreRecently I was in need of a new dentist. One of my crowns had come off. The dentist I had used for years had semiretired and it was difficult scheduling convenient times so I had been planning a change. Did some research and settled on MJM. Glad I did so far. I called to set up the appointment and got in the next day. I had several problems so it was not merely reattaching the crown. As this was my first visit I had a completed exam with cleaning, X-rays and all. After reviewing the issues, I was presented with a plan that will be worked on over the coming months. Dr. Ghumrawri did most of the work and Dr. Murray also participated in one visit.
Everyone there from the front desk to the dental assistants and the doctors of course are friendly courteous and professional. From my first call to initially set up the appointment it did not feel like I was a "new" patient. Felt like I had been there for years. A very welcoming...
