Nightmare. I had an urgent package which ups majorly messed up. They told me it was to be picked up in store. I contacted them to check if the package was there already since it was supposed to be delivered days ago. The lady on the phone was very rude and condescending. She told me the package wasn't there in the most annoyed way possible. I was not having her so said thank you and I hung up. Later I went in the store to have someone check for me if the package was there yet since it was urgent and while I was giving my tracking number to one of the employees, she came up and said that she had told me they did not have it already. I wanted to check still but she was very pissed and intolerant and kept saying they did not have it and she had already told me on the phone. My mother stepped in and called her rude. She told us our package was in Chantilly and when I asked why she didn't say that over the phone she told me because I hung up on her (which of course I did, she was being awful). We could not reason with her so we just left. As we were leaving she said thank you have a nice day in the most condescending ironic way. It would have taken 10 seconds for the other employee to simply check my tracking number and tell me the package was not there yet but she decided to step in to scold a customer for being worried about an urgent package. It's unbelievable. I don't understand how she is able to keep her job at all. I can safely say I do not plan to order anything that ships through UPS again, specially time sensitive orders. Anything to avoid dealing with employees like her again. Sadly I'll still have to go back on Monday to see if my package is there already, hopefully there will be someone else there that I can file a complaint with. These people need to understand that some customers have packages that they need urgently, it maybe be a medical device or a work tool, and when the package is already delayed you can't be angry at the customer for being concerned about it.
I've seen them replying to bad reviews about their service trying to pin it as a "misunderstanding". No. This girl was incredibly rude and should not be working in customer service at all if this is how she treats customers. Trust me, it's not a misunderstanding. The service is absolutely dreadful.
I don't want to make assumptions about the other employees but if the girl the other reviewer I saw was the same one that was awful to me today then I can guarantee it was no...
Read moreDO NOT USE THIS STORE! I recently shipped a package to my father who turned 92. The contents of this package had frozen bacon in hermetically sealed packaging along with two additional Ziplock bags, ice packs and birthday cards. All of the contents were double bagged and sealed. The box was cold. The store clerk showed some concern for this package and I informed her I had no issue doing this in the past with FedEx and US Postal. I said I would use the other shipping companies if she wanted. However, She excepted the package and this is where it all begins. The company who picked up the packages from the store immediately showed concern with the package. Instead of calling me to collect the package she put it in a plastic bag and sent it anyway. Once the package arrived to its next transfer it was opened, contents removed and ultimately I was given part of the box and the cards my kids made for their Grandfather. The $123 dollars I spent was absorbed by The UPS Store and I have been on my own ever since trying to collect the shipping fees for something that never shipped. The store blames UPS and UPS blames The UPS Store. No one along the way wants to rectify this situation. My recommendation is to NOT USE this store. The owner supposable lives out of the country and is not available to intervene except via email. This is not someone I feel anyone should financially support in The City of Fairfax. Very disappointed! On the other hand I used the same packing method with FedEx and the package arrived on time with no issues along the way. Thank you FedEx
UPDATE 4/18/22 WOW, the UPS Store filed the paperwork for me to be reimbursed for the shipping fees. This is after I was told I was a rude customer, I don't know what I'm talking about, other people don't feel the same way as I do, etc. Note: This package was sent 3/31/22... It has been me and me alone to teach the UPS Store manager of the proper forms she needs to use to rectify this issue. I've been told by the manager I didn't ask for the correct kind of reimbursement. Remember, I hired them the UPS Store, I didn't ship directly through UPS. I'm reminded through this process that a pleasant person with a smile doesn't mean they know how to deal with a problem. I requested management at The UPS store to represent me and they didn't how to or they didn't care to.
Let's hope the upcoming update will provide a...
