When I picked up my new puppy (Gracie), it was obvious from day one that she absolutely loved other dogs; she loved to play and had a ton of energy so I started to look for a safe and clean doggie daycare center that I could bring her occasionally when I was at work. At the time, I had a dog walker that works for a local veterinarian office and when I asked her if she knew of any good doggie daycare facilities in the area, she quickly suggested Rover Ranch because she had heard such good things about them. I stopped by for a quick tour with Max and I was instantly sold because it was immaculately clean and even smelled clean and the dogs all seemed to be having a great time. Once Gracie was old enough, I called to set up an appointment for her evaluation and thankfully Gracie was accepted into daycare; both of us have been so, so happy with Rover Ranch ever since. I love the convenience of Rover Ranch and the extremely quick drop off and pick up process. Liz, Max, Ben and entire staff are friendly, attentive, affectionate and wonderful to my Gracie. The dogs are never without supervision during daycare so I feel safe in knowing that someone is keeping a close eye on her at all times. I also love the Rover Cam so that I can keep an eye on her too. Gracie has always been crazy about other dogs, but fearful of people (especially men) and I have seen so much improvement in her since coming to Rover Ranch. Her vet has even said that Gracie’s personality has really opened up.
So far I have only used Rover Ranch for daycare, but I plan to also use them for boarding too if/when the time comes that I can not bring Gracie on vacation with me. I love that someone is on the premises 24 hours a day when boarding; I have never been able bring myself to board my dog where there was not someone on the premises at all times because I always worry about fire or something bad happening and no one being around to help.
Gracie loves going to Rover Ranch so much that she stands straight up on the door of the car and is glued to the window and whining as we turn onto Fairfield Road; she knows exactly where we are going and she just cannot control her excitement. She is so excited when we pull into the parking lot that I have a tough time getting her out of her seat belt because she is trying so hard to get to the door of the building. Once inside the door we are usually greeted by Sarah in the morning and it is always with a smile and by name. Once Sarah takes hold of Gracie’s leash and opens the door to the hallway to the playrooms, Gracie takes off at top speed, dragging poor Sarah all the way up the hall. It is so heartwarming to me to see my baby’s excitement with being there to play with her friends. The other plus side for Mom is that Gracie comes home so tired that all she wants to do is sleep for the next 36 hours after playing so hard with the other dogs….and Mom actually gets a chance to sit down and watch TV for a change.
I cannot say enough great things about Rover Ranch!! Give them a try; I am sure you and your dog will be as happy as...
Read moreLet me start by saying if I could give ZERO stars I would. The young man that was responsible for this establishment today shouldn't be trusted to babysit a goldfish. I left my dog to be groomed this morning only to get a nasty call in 45 mins by this unruly young man. My dog was shaking when I picked him up... If this young man was this rude and nasty to me I could only imagine how he treated my poor pet!!!!!
Please save your money, time and nerves and take your dogs to the Madison pet resort in Wayne NJ. They didn't have an appointment for me this week so I decided to try a new place.... BAD IDEA!!! The Madison has a very professional and friendly environment. They treat us like family.
Do not bring your pets here please!!!! This man is unstable and very NOT VERY bright. Do not trust him with your animals if you care for them you will listen. 💙
The apology that the very nice woman has made is very thoughtful... however being a small business owner has nothing to do with reporting poor customer care. The dogs condition was discussed prior to drop off. The man was well aware he is not used to the leash and a nervous dog by nature NOT sick. He is a Puggle and very lethargic and harmless!!!!!! He is fully vaccinated and was actually just at the vet for his well visit that week (I produced his records that morning) Regardless of all of this the young man still called claiming he was sick and YELLING at me to the point I feared for my dog. He made him more nervous for sure with his chaotic loud behavior and I rushed to pick him up. I gave him my vets name... he could have called and checked it out... there were ways around this matter... he made a choice to treat me poorly and small business or not this should be reported to your clients... we are entrusting you with our beloved and helpless pets. I am offended that you would try and put this back on me for trying to tell my truth... this apology becomes somewhat backhanded when you then dish out a dig to the customer for telling her story .... utterly offended. Thanks again for unnecessarily raising my blood...
Read moreHaving moved back to New Jersey after living in New England for 12 years and after our dog, Zoe, was very much at home at her NH daycare and kennel, we were, at the very least, nervous and anxious about finding another place in which she'd feel at home and comfortable. Zoe is a world-class Omega dog -- slow to warm up and feels most comfortable in her home with her humans. So, off we went to multiple facilities in the area to interview, take tours, and land on a place that we thought might be a match. Rover Ranch became that place. Upon our initial visit, Max immediately welcomed us to take a tour and answered all our questions. The clincher for us was the outside area that he and his staff were building. Zoe LOVES going outside and all the other places we visited had exclusively indoor spaces. Zoe has stayed for both daycare and kenneling with experiencing only a few of her own adjustments at the beginning (she tore up her fleece bed cover) and has now settled in quite nicely. We bought her a raised bed to bring for her to sleep on in her kennel during overnight visits and LOVE the way we can "check in" on the webcam while she's in daycare. One more good review...my husband was running very late driving home from a CT business trip on a stormy day and the clock was ticking toward 7 PM closing time for daycare. He called and was assured that the person who was assigned that night was staying over and would be there to greet him. LOVE that someone stays overnight AND that they accommodated his dicey travel that day. Good news...he got there in time and was able to bring Zoe home. Wonderful, warm, and caring people at...
