White House Design for Life - Luxe — Local services in Fairfield

I had an amazing experience at White House. My husband and I had gone to a few other places, some positive experiences and some lackluster. At the end of the day, we were looking for quite a large sectional with some very specific needs, but when you’re generally a little younger walking into a higher end furniture store, you don’t always get the customer service to match the price tag.

That was definitely not the case at White House. First, their showroom is deceptively large despite appearing to be in a smaller building. This is important bc they have so many great sample couches to sit on, amazing fabric options to choose from - it makes it a lot easier to choose when you get to touch and feel the thing you’re buying. Second, we were helped immediately upon entering the store. Tom Lamken helped us and he was a joy. Very knowledgeable, very real and honest and also generally awesome. We can be a little extra and maybe a bit much, but he kept us honest when it came to not sacrificing on what we want, but also not getting a certain couch just bc it was the most expensive. We ultimately ended up with our dream couch which will be delivered in time for the holidays. I was fortunate to discover White House Luxe (Fairfield); and what a find it was!!! I had no idea what a great store it is, with not only the selections offered but the fantastic people on staff there. I met Gayle Weiner and am ever so grateful – she is wonderful to work with. Gayle listens and is mindful of what you want and keeps your budget in mind. Her suggestions were perfect for me. No matter how many questions I had (and there were a lot), Gayle patiently gave me wonderful guidance. I redid my living room and cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with the selections. I now love spending time in my “new” living room. The sofa and chair are extremely comfortable not to mention the compliments I have received with the furniture and accessories chosen – all with the help of Gayle.

I also cannot say enough about the staff that I interacted with. Donna, always so cheerful and willing to help. Tom, ready to pitch in when needed, Arlene working efficiently on delivery arrangements, and the delivery staff – happy to move the old furniture out of the room. After years of not having window coverings, we decided to go with Hunter Douglas presented by White House Designs. My wife and I drove to multiple stores and worked with multiple designers and never quite were happy with the result, from quality of product to look and feel. Then last month I came across one of the most helpful designers I've ever worked with, Kristen!

Kristen immediately came to understand our challenges and went right to work! One of the most impressive aspects of White House was Kristen's customer service and care. My wife and I felt like we had someone working for us to be happy!

The great experience we had working with Kristen then translated to multiple furniture purchases from the White House Luxe store. So many beautiful pieces that really completed the look and feel we were going for but struggled to find. Kristen again helped put together some really nice pieces and ensure they were delivered at our convenience, was huge for us as our space was still under construction!
