Sidelines Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Fairfield

This was my first time at Sidelines, always drove by and finally stopped in for dinner and the football games on a Saturday at 7pm. So many TVs, you are bound to find a sport you’re interested in. The place wasn’t packed, but I think they may have been a bit short handed with only two people handling the entire bar and tables (could be the norm?). They were both incredible all things considered, always with a smile on their face and very kind. It led to some longer waiting times so keep in mind that’s a possibility especially if you’re in a rush. We ordered the Sidelines burger and Buffalo Blue Chicken Wrap for dinner and both were excellent!!! Burger was cooked to perfection, delicious fresh toppings on a soft yet sturdy bun. Their sidelines sauce has a great kick to it! Buffalo chicken wrap was so well made, packed full and perfect heat to Buffalo sauce. Their fries that came with them were very well seasoned (salt and pepper) so they weren’t “plain” that you could normally see elsewhere and be boring. Such a great experience for us first timers and would highly recommend to go kick back and watch a couple games but most importantly enjoy their incredible food. Christa was our bartender and she was incredibly rude, was very unwelcoming, if there had been a choice, for adding gratuity ourselves she would have received none, she didn’t deserve it at all. It was already sadly pre added on and we couldn’t change it. Nobody forces anyone to work and clearly Christa, should have just stayed her self home, its not a customers fault your in a bad mood, your there to work and should be professional. Clearly the professionalism isn’t there for Christa, she needs to do better and fix that nasty attitude of hers. Any question asked, she seemed bothered and would give a rude response too. Again that’s YOUR job, that’s why you’re there. A person in our group asked for a menu and she looked at him like he was dumb and replied no. When we asked for separate checks, instead of explaining she couldn’t split checks she rudely told us “ I’ll give you one check YOU will split the check yourselves 4 ways.” She had no issue being super friendly to the group of guys next to us but proceeded to give us disrespectful responses when we had a question about the bill. Found this place while taking a U-Turn on Route 46. Was sitting in 5 o'clock traffic, stand still on the overpass, looked to my right and saw this place. Thought I'd stop in to sit out the traffic, ended up staying longer. Great place they got here. Large bar area as well as many tables, some bar tables w/ stools, some regular w/ chairs along the windows, also pool table & dart board & many TV'S. It's not a stand alone structure, it's located in a building that also houses The American School of Business as well as Monster Golf. Think that's what I like best, it's kinda tucked away in the bottom corner of the building. Has a outside area with a picnic table for smokers out the side door. I didn't order any food but the menu had a nice selection, many people seemed to be enjoying the grub. Happy Hour was till 7 w/ $6 appetizers. Really wanted to try the Mac n Cheese bites but was low in cash so a flip of a quarter decided booze for me instead. Will be going back to try some stuff...
