I have a 2017 iMac that I bought refurbished from Amazon. For some reason, the previous owner partitioned the hard drive so that the entire system was running on a 28 GB Flash drive disk. The other side, called "Data", with 920+ GB of storage, was completely inaccessible. Pretty soon my computer was maxxed out, I couldn't update the OS or add any apps. It was hugely frustrating, because with my primitive computer skills, I had no idea how to fix this weird problem. So I called Fairhope PC, hoping they'd have a solution. I spoke with Dylan, who was extremely detailed with information, truly professional, helpful, and friendly (despite my deep ignorance of all things digital). I took the computer in, and Dylan gave it a thorough diagnostic the same day, and called to give me detailed information about everything, from the process of correcting the problem, to the likely turn-around time, to the pricing structure for the service. I gave him the go-ahead, and he had the whole morass of the bifurcated hard drive sorted out the next day. He also set me up with an updated OS, virus protection, and an external hard drive for backup. It was a pretty involved process, but Dylan knew exactly what he was doing, and he got it done quickly and perfectly. Now I have a brand new iMac that functions just as it should. It's not common anymore to find such detailed, skillful, helpful service. But Dylan went way above and beyond my best expectations. I would give Dylan and Fairhope PC ten stars if I could, but I guess five stars is the limit. I unequivocally recommend these guys to anyone who needs their computer restored to full function. Read moreI called Fairhope PC to inquire whether they worked on Lenovo laptops, and could they repair or replace the keyboard. They said most likely, however, they would need to take a look. I brought it in, dropped it off, and within an hour, they called to provide me the report. Turns out, yes, they can replace the keyboard, and the part was going to be $50.. plus installation, etc.. less than $100 total. I authorized the repair and they said it would be a few days. Almost immediately, they called back to say, they quoted me the wrong price.. the part was going to be $60 + install. The amount was so negligible, however, I appreciated their truth and honesty, letting me know and giving me the chance to decide whether to continue with the repair.. I did.. They called back a week later, letting me know the laptop was repaired, and ready for pick up. Back in business for ~$100.. Overall, I find these guys are running an honest, affordable, and timely repair business. I will definitely...
Read moreWhat an honest and well run computer repair shop. My work laptop was stuck on a Windows 10 update and had a few other small glitches. The guys here explained how they would look into things and what they could do. They called the next day with a diagnosis and a plan. It was repaired very quickly. I then had a couple crashes after the repairs and they told me to bring it back in. This happened twice. They updated a few more drivers at no additional cost. Both in a days turnaround.
I then took in my Surface as I thought it was overheating. They tested it that very day, and said that it wasn't really overheating, but they put a program on it where I could monitor the internal temperature - and didn't charge me a dime! The cost to repair my work laptop was very reasonable, and as said I brought it back twice and they didn't charge anything. Very knowledgeable guys, very polite and curtious and very professional. I highly...
