I spent months searching for a receiver like the Pioneer SX-780 because I love that rich, character-filled sound that only a true high-end piece from the late ’70s can deliver. After a long search, I finally came across one in such perfect condition that I knew I had to act fast before it was gone. That’s when I visited Jon Archer and his workshop.

I was blown away—not just by the variety of vintage gear he has in top-notch condition, but especially by Jon’s kindness and the passion he puts into explaining every detail of the equipment you're buying. I’ve bought speakers, amplifiers, and such over the years from Jon, who has thoughtfully procured sound equipment that appeals to my ears but also—perhaps of at least equal importance—my wife’s aesthetic sensibilities. The exceptionally beautiful-looking and sounding speakers he recommended are in the living room, so I knew my wife had to approve if I were to enjoy them long-term. Great service and products. I bought a vintage receiver here for a great price. When I got it home I found a problem with one of the inputs. I contacted the store and they offered to refund me or fix it at their expense. I chose to have it repaired. I just got it back and it sounds great! The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely shop there again in soon!
