Today 6/5/24 I visited Paul Mitchell for a second time as a guest and can say this time was horrible. I came in for haircut. I explained to the student(Val) I wanted a short haircut and she was saying pixie cut. Now I am black and the student wasn’t. So we both have different ideas of what a pixie cut is. The photo shows clippers being used for the bottom half of the style. I understand their students because I was once a student as well. The student Val was very unprofessional and so was her learning leader Ms. A she’s a black women as well. Now she was very unprofessional when she rolled her eyes at me then look at the student like I did something wrong by say this isn’t correct. I understood she’s a student(Val) but she wasn’t professional. She walked off in the middle of my haircut to speak with her friends about their hair. Not once did she apologize or excuse herself. Into after I said something to her. Then was acting like she didn’t want to t touch my hair. Which to me means Paul Mitchell needs to teach more about other races hair to their students besides fine hair. Ms. A was so rude and unprofessional that she continued to talk about me to her coworker who’s white and who was with a guest as well. Ms.A then walked to the back when asked for her name. So I can give to the manager. Now she refused to give her name but had a name tag on with her full name. Was told all I could have was Ms.A. Which is why I’m giving her race became I can’t say and don’t know her name just she’s a black women as well, refuse to give her name other than Ms.A but she wears a name tag with the full name once again. So safe to say she’s very rude and unprofessional because if she wasn’t she would have gave her name as if she didn’t do nothing but refuse to. Most likely because I asked for a manager but management is now teaching students so she wasn’t available. I was told by front desk staff (Valerie) , she’ll have her manager call me once she’s free. I understand times have change but being unprofessional and rude to someone for speaking up about their hair isn’t cute and then for the learning leader to be horrible shows why the hair industry is going down. If possible I would give zero stars. Also never received a call from a manager. So they lied about that...
Read moreI cam in on 5-18-2019. It was my daughters wedding day.. there were 7 of us. 4 kids flower girls for hair. Me the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom and a grandmother, for hair and make up. First they did a excellent job on all of our hair. She performed a miracle on my hair. I have thin hair. And I went totally out of my comfort zone for a hair design I wanted. I have thin hair and was not sure if they could pull it off. She absolutely pulled it off and I loved it! Now for the negative. None of us were happy with our make-up. It was nothing like what I wanted. It was the wrong colors, I gave her the pictures, my fake eyelashes were not sized right for my eyes. They kept coming up before the ceremony. The color for foundation was not colored for our skin. Know they tried to make up happy but we were running out of time. So my suggestion Is if you want your hair done. I give them a 5 and excellent but go to a professional for your make-up. Especially for something as big as your kids wedding.. I give them a A for effort but was let down by the outcome. Again they did try hard. I think they need trainers to over see the...
Read moreAlthough the school cost is way too pricely!! For their cosmetology course I don't like that they don't offer aesthetics and manicuring course because they should. But I do love the fact of the professionalism. 👌🏼🍷🥃 I love that you get quality education.. if I wanted to have a 12,000 student loan balance which I'm not looking forward to I would try it. If ever they open up more locations and drop down the price some I might would consider it. They need to bring other Beauty classes so that people who may not go for cars can go for aesthetics electrolysis manicuring, barbering natural hair braiding that would be ultimate. Need to offer more services and more affordable for those that utilize Pell grants. 😉👌🏼😇📢💯‼️ I also don't like the fact that you don't offer instructor training for those who are already licensed as a Manicurist or Estheticians 😰🤦🏻♀️🧐👎🏼👩🏻⚖️💰👩🏻⚖️🙋🏻♀️ this part you need major improvement on and there's no excuse you need to get more locations than just Farmington hills why not Ferndale, Royal...
