Sometimes people really don't understand what someone else is going through. I have had dinner from this establishment a few times in the past but as of today 5/9/21 I will never patronize this location again. I am not able to leave my home but someone was willing to pick up my Mother's day meal for me. As I understand today is one of the busiest days of the year there is still a level of respect that all customers deserve when calling a business.
I called to place an order and I was told that they were not taking phone orders today (which was perfectly acceptable, I was told I had to use the website, again that was fine with me. I proceeded to use the website but it doesn't show the same as the paper menu I had. I called back to ask how to order a certain meal (the combo crab boils, i.e. C1 - C4) because it didn't show those on the site. I was basically told you have to figure it out, I don't have time to walk you through it. I thought WOW, that was RUDE as I only had that one question and the time the person took to say that, they could have just answered my question.
So, I called back again to see if they could just quickly tell me where to look for what I was trying to order. Again, the person was rude and hung up on me. Mind you, I was ordering multiple meals but I just needed to get to the right place to order since it was my first time ordering online. Again, I was spoken to very rudely and when I asked for a Manager, I was told I was speaking to the manager and then I was hung up on.
Of course now I am angry and called back again and this time the phone just continued to ring until a voicemail came on. Another rude thing to do. If you are going to answer the phone why not just answer the question which was very simple and only would have required less than a minute of your time.
With all the things going on in the world being RUDE should not be the first thing a business/ restaurant should be doing busy and all. There are so many restaurants trying to stay open during this time and the first thing this establishment does is be completely rude for no reason with a customer that is spending their hard earned money. This may not go far but I definitely want it to be known.
This behavior is unacceptable and I will keep writing post after post so this rude behavior does not happen to...
Read moreStopped at this little spot while passing through town. We were the only table in there, as they had just opened. My daughter ordered the C3 seafood boil, I ordered the pineapple seafood fried rice and edamame for my appetizer. My fiancé ordered hush puppies and crab rangoons and we ordered the chicken tender & French fry basket for the littles. The prices are kind of steep, but not off putting considering it was a seafood joint and in a more upscale area. I did think $16 for a 4 chicken tenders and a small amount of fries was ridiculous, though.
Our meals came out inconsistently, serving my fiancé with his hush puppies and crab Rangoon’s before even bringing the kids’ food out. The edamame had very little salt on it, and it was table salt, not flake salt.
The pineapple seafood platter I ordered is pictured on the menu as being inside of an actually pineapple. I asked our server to confirm it would come in the pineapple and she did. It came in a bowl with very bland food and the pineapple chunks looked old.
My daughter’s seafood boil was subpar at best. They even served her a mussel in a closed shell, which means it is rotten and should never be eaten. Had she not known that a pried it open to eat it, she could have gotten very ill.
With all of the above, I would have given this restaurant an overall rating of 3 stars at best. That was until the server brought me a “coupon” and said if I leave a 5 star review I’ll save $10.00 today. I was immediately disgusted, because now I wonder how many of these reviews were essentially purchased rather than genuine.
I declined the “coupon” and when I received my bill, I was charged for more drinks than I purchased. I will not go back and definitely don’t recommend...
Read moreWe went here for my birthday dinner, and they wasn't very busy. But the fact that we were here longer than 10 minutes before we even got drinks (water)! They sat us and we waited for someone to come, but get upset and left. What a way to celebrate my birthday. I had to give them one star. Not too mention we drove up there from Flat Rock, Michigan. The fact that your response was a lie, that's really sad. You only had two other people in the corner. Their wasn't a party. But I'm sure since you'll were all in the kitchen arguing with a young boy sitting people are the lady trying to get drinks or whatever for the other people. It shouldn't take 10 minutes or more for water! You'll wasn't even busy. And the fact that you want to justify your poor service, it's a good things we left. Shame on you if you knew that it was a party supposedly that she was catering to then you should have came out of the back and stopped arguing with your other associates and attended to our table. But it's fine We left and went somewhere else where not only were we greeted and sad but we were also able to get water as well as a meal. It's clear to see that your restaurant wasn't the one for me anyway because that's not how you handle poor customer service you fix it instead of trying to argue...
