I originally became a "Paulson's" customer back in 10/2013. So when it was time for me to upgrade my TV from 65" Panasonic plasma to 65" SONY OLED, I went back to Paulson's. On 08/26/2024, "Jose" and "Matt" were the installers, mounting the TV on the wall, replacing the plasma TV. They arrived on time per the schedule that was setup. They were very respectful, amenable, and friendly. The installation went smoothly. The job performed was EXACTLY to my expectations. TV setup and a ensuring compatability with remotes and cable box was all accomplished. Sure, I could have done that part myself; however based on the concept of "completed work," they made sure everything worked. From the working of the equipment, to the the clean aesthetic appearance of the completed assignment. Thanks Jose and Matt. As a matter of fact I've gone back and ordered a BDI audio equipment tower from Paulson's. All due to the great work, from my salesman/technology Specialist, Bill Davidson, to my installers, Jose and Matt. Thanks Paulson's, you've got a great crew.
So, here I am, back again (09/17/2024). Once again I turned to Paulson's for furniture to organize my audio/video equipment. When the installers were last here, Jose had mentioned the furniture from "BDI." I went to BDI's website and saw exactly what I needed and wanted and could acquire in a chocolate stained walnut (my wife had been adamant about coordinating all the audio/video equipment in our family room. Unfortunately she died before I could get things done, per her vision). The installers delivered and installed my BDI "Corridor 8172 Audio Tower" today. Jose returned and with him was Shaun. As usual, these guys were great. I have come to expect no less from Paulson's. They installed my equipment in the tower, made my spaghetti tangle of cords and wires cohesive (and coherent); tested all of the hookups, and showed me a few things I had not known. I was an audio equipment installer for friends and family "back in the day." I truly appreciate people like Jose and Shaun. Read moreThey have good products, top of the line. Better in most cases than you will find anywhere else. Their layout is pretty sweet although it does need to be setup again and modernized in their demo room. The thing I have to ding them for is, at least in this, poor or deceitful selling practises. I called about a very specific item that I was told they used to carry. But they stated they kept getting returned for another product and that I should come in and listen to it. The clarity was nice but didn't pack the punch I wanted and was nearly triple the price of the one I wanted. And really the main selling point was an app for the device. This is it, an app. I ask for specific sounds and quality and you push and app. It was a joke. I tried moving around the room and the item was simply underpowered. I got the one I wanted from Magnolia and believe me when I heard it there was no competition. The fact that he stated theirs was better couldn't have been further from the truth. I believe they either never carried the item I wanted but had heard of it and therefore lied or the lost the ability to sell them and thus lied. Either way no reputable audiophile would push their suggestion at their price instead of what I got. If you ask I will tell you what it is but I'm not here to recommend a product but warn about this practise. I know they have to make money and sell items, but this was a farce, a stretch, a faux pas, a misleading representation of their item. But this was only one person and I'm sure not all of them are this way. Read morePaulson's was recommended to me by someone that had a TV mounted on their brick fireplace and since that was exactly what I needed done I called them. Matt and Scott came to my home to determine the scope of the job. They were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. A date was set up for installation with the understanding that if a time spot became available quicker, Scott would contact me. I went into the store to select a TV with Matt's help, the prices are very competitive. A quicker date and time did become available and so installation was moved forward. Connor and Jimmy showed up on time and got right to work. They removed the existing TV and the wall mount it was attached to. They did so carefully without damage to the equipment or the wall. I had not expected this to be included so I was delighted. Connor and Jimmy completed the installation quickly but carefully. They set up the remote which turned out to be no small task since Spectrum streaming is no longer a supported app. Conner and Jimmy worked out how to use an existing Roku device so I did not need to switch local TV streaming providers or purchase any additional equipment. They came prepared for anything but used only what was needed and did not charge for anything that was not used.
