I was going to wait to do a review because I wanted to wait and see how Jordon’s would handle their mistake. However, I was not pleased at all how it was handled currently. I may do an update on this review if I am pleased on my compensation.. Here goes. Last summer my husband applied for a Jordon’s card. We could have went to any furniture store, but we chose Jordons. I was excited about the option to customize our living room furniture. It was a very long process because it took a long time for my husband to get cleared for the card. He had to reach out to the credit bureaus to update his phone number. Months later we finally did everything and was approved. Previously we had went to the store to pick out the furniture and we had met a salesman during that time that we decided to deal with during this process. The salesman during that time was very nice, always followed up with us to ensure when we were still interested in the furniture and that when we do we make sure we come see him. He would send me emails to check up on the status. Why not because he was persistent and seemed as if he cared. His kindness and persistence should remain even after the same but to me it didnt. The day came to order the couches that we wanted and he entered, the color and the fabric of my choice. Then we were asked about what color throw pillows. We chose a different color and material. That day the salesman who was recently so persistent and so kind, asked after he entered the order “do you mind if I go get something to eat”? In the past he would stay as we sat around on the couch and he would walk us to the door. The day of the sale we had another sales person escort us out because we didn’t know the way to get back downstairs. My furniture was delivered April 5th after months of waiting. One big couch was the correct color and the other was not. One of the couches were ordered as the same color and material as the throw pillows. I was furious. After months of waiting for a custom couch. So you know what that means right? I have more months to wait again to get the corrected couch. Now my eta is June/July. I was referred by a friend to get my furniture from Jordon’s. The couches that we previously had, I had since 2004. Very disappointed. It’s Weds April 8th and I have not heard a word from the salesman not the manager I spoke with. Do you think I would refer anyone to Jordon’s? I’ll let you all know how this turns out, I’ll do an...
Read moreWe purchased a Kincaid Comfort Select couch, love seat, and ottoman in October of 2024. Our first and major request was that the fabric was very durable and basically "washable" as we have two young children and a dog. With our lifestyle, we know whatever we purchase will get spills/dirt on it. We were having trouble picking a fabric and that's when another sales person joined in (two at this point), which felt a little pushy. We ended up purchasing that day but I was very unsure about the fabric choices. I stuck with it because I was assured the choice we made would be best for having kids/pets. I called the next day to see if I could come back in and look at the fabrics again and was told it was too late to change any of the fabrics, even the pillow cases. The couches arrived on time, no issue with delivery. When my son threw up on the couch two weeks later we called customer service as we had signed up for a protection plan. During that call we learned that the upholstery cleaning code for the fabric we were sold is "S" meaning, it can only be cleaned professionally with industrial solvent and it should NEVER get water on it (nevermind vomit). Truthfully I didn't even know upholstery codes like this existed- I just trusted that the sales people were showing us fabrics that could handle kids, wear and tear, and....water. Customer service was not very helpful- they said not to worry because we had already purchased a protection plan. We had to wait two weeks to get someone to come out and clean the cushion. While I'm glad we purchased the protection plan, it is still a major inconvenience to set up a time for someone to come to your house to have a couch professionally cleaned anytime something as simple as water gets on it. This is especially frustrating as we felt we were quite clear on needing a fabric that could withstand life with young children. The fabric also has a handful of pulls in it already. For what we paid I would expect better. I think the couch itself is very well made and comfortable, but we are disappointed with the sales experience, quality of fabric, and customer services response to our concerns.
Update- we've had the couch for 6 months. I flipped one of the cushions to find this happening to the fabric (see photo for reference). More proof that it is not the durable fabric we were looking for and promised. This side of the cushion has had absolutely no use and is coming apart...
Read moreOur recent visit to Jordan’s Furniture in Farmington, CT, was a mix of highs and lows. We initially went to explore their selection of children’s bedroom furniture and were disappointed by the limited options. It felt as though this area wasn’t a priority for the store, which left us underwhelmed and ready to move on.
However, our experience turned around when we ventured into the Sleep Lab. One associate, who started out looking like he was about to endure an hour of humoring our children, turned out to be a real gem. Our kids were eager to try out the mattress-matching program, and the associate played along wonderfully. He managed to balance professionalism with a sense of humor, which made the process enjoyable for everyone involved.
After some testing and a lot of bouncing around, we found great-quality mattresses for our two sons. While we decided to hold off on buying one for our daughter, we left feeling confident in the investment we made.
Yes, we chose to spend what some might consider an “adult” amount of money on children’s mattresses, but we firmly believe it’s worth it. Both my husband and I grew up on cheap, uncomfortable mattresses—not due to financial limitations, but because our parents didn’t prioritize the importance of quality sleep for kids. Sleep is critical for their growing bodies, and it’s something we’re happy to invest in.
In the end, while the shopping trip didn’t start on a strong note, the experience was redeemed by the thoughtful associate and the quality of the products we purchased. If only their children’s furniture section matched the Sleep Lab’s level of care, it could have been a truly...
