I brought my puppy to the Dog Groom because a friend had told me that she use to take her dogs there a few years ago. I was pretty nervous it was my first time taking my puppy to a groomers. I had a lot of questions, I don't know all the "dog groom" lingo or all the stuff I guess "normal" people know. I am a first time dog owner and new to all of this. I felt like the OWNER Meg ( I think that was her name she didn't introduce herself) treated me like an idiot, and was NOT very nice or dare I say down right rude! She was not personable at all, nor very helpful when I had some questions. The ONLY reason I gave 1 star is because the other girls were very nice and helpful. They were really cute with my puppy and answered my questions without making me feel stupid. My puppy was soft and seemed clean, I paid for a cut and I think they barley trimmed her, I couldn't tell if they cut her or not. I asked more questions when I came to pick her up like How did she do? Were her ears bad? were her teeth bad, did you feel like her nails were to long? When should I get her groomed again? Anything I should know? etc etc. And the gal that helped me, kept asking the owner my questions and she gave her one word answers and kept saying "fine, fine". She didn't come over and talk to me personally, which would of been really nice to just talk to her! Rather I just left upset and wanted to get my dog out of there. Over all I wanted to thank the other girls for being so nice to me and my puppy and for not making me feel like a complete idiot. But I think the owner needs to be a lot more friendly and not so arrogant and rude. If you are going to work with puppies and puppy owners you need to be a little more personable and fluffy especially a first time customer. To me its like dealing with babies and parents. FAKE It if you have too. But now I wont be going back nor referring anyone else to them. I feel sorry for the other girls because they deserve a good review.
UPDATE Thank you for taking the time to respond. All that information would of been exactly the kind of information I would of needed to hear. But you did none of those things but give me a price. And no you did not reschedule my puppy. I even asked when I needed to get her groomed again. You didn't even talk to me at all when I came back to pick her up. I would of loved to talk to you personally about how she did. I just want to bring to your attention, that maybe a first time nervous owner and customer to your shop may need a little bit more time and attention to feel comfortable, and able to ask questions without feeling bad for not knowing the process. Also maybe a little attention and personality towards the dog? Again I appreciate...
Read moreI will NEVER take my cat in for a nail trim again. Because . . .
When you walk in the front door, you are IMMEDIATLY standing in the grooming room.
I thought they were going to take Tiger into another room, off to the side, where it was a little quieter and out of the chaos. They did not. They took the carrier, placed it on a table, grabbed Tiger by the scruff, and without concern for him, or his wellbeing, forcefully held him up, leaned him back, and clipped his front nails. They didn't even fully remove him from his carrier, they just kind of left him hanging half in, half out. He looked terrified. Then, they flipped him head down in the carrier, back legs out, held him down and clipped his back nails. I couldn't believe what I was seeing!
Tiger came to Utah last March via Delta Airline in his carrier, in the cabin with me. He was relaxed, quiet and comfortable throughout the flight. He trusted me.
Since the disregard for his well being at the Dogroom, he now runs under the bed when I get home. If he so much as hears the closet door open where his carrier is kept, under the bed he goes. That was 2 1/2 months ago!
Tiger is a 13 year old, beautiful, blue eyed, part Siamese, teddy bear of a cat, weighing in at 15.5 pounds. My heart is broken. I feel horrible I subjected him to this ABSOLUTELY UNnecessary, UNprofessional encounter. Though he is trusting me a little more, I believe it will be awhile before he fully trusts me again - if ever.
There is no excuse or reason for their treatment. If they don't want, or like, to do cats nails, they should just say no when asked! They could have save Tiger and me a...
Read moreI am very disappointed with the service at the Dog Groomer I felt like Megan treated me like an idiot every time I took my schnauzer into be groomed. I would let her know how I wanted it done and when I would pick her up there was always some thing done that I did not ask to have done. One time her her eye brows and lashes were shaved the next time her face was completely shaved and I had not asked to have it shaved. I asked to have her legs trimmed and it did not look like they had been trimmed and one side of her body looked like it had not been trimmed. Every time I would take her in she would just grab her and take her in the back and I felt like she was not listening to me about how I wanted her groomed. Megan has an attitude and can be very unfriendly I do not need to bring my business to some one like that. I do not like to write bad reviews but I felt it was needed this time. I gave it a fare chance by taking my dog into her several times and I was not happy with any of them. You pay good money to have your dog groomed and you want it done the way...
