Don’t spend your money here. This is another mediocre Fenton take out Restaurant. There hours are inconsistent and they are closed more than they are open, which tells me the only move food at certain times, and it sets the rest of the time. Personally, I think there food is awful and flavorless and will pick Bangkok Peppers over this place every time. However, Bangkok Peppers is not open on Sundays or Monday and my husband really wanted Thai food. He also insists on supporting this business, because he grew up and went to school with the owner. I have the mentality of, I’m not supporting you if your product is not good regardless of if I know you or not. Learn to serve a good product! So I gave in and we ordered $55 worth of food from them today. I called it in, the person taking the order told me a half hour ( which is a long time for take out) my husband gets there and the food wasent done, he then waits another 35 mins (so total over an hour). During this time my husband paid for the food, dropped a $5 tip in the jar (big mistake) and started patiently waiting. Throughout the wait he asked what was taking so long, at the hour mark asked for his money back which they said they would not give him. He then saw food just setting on the warmer and asked it if was our food, it was, not sure how long it was setting there. He then complained again and they tried to take the food back without giving him money, the lady working said she was going to call the cops because my husband was complaining. I’m not quite sure what type of business is being run here. But someone should have learned how to run a business before opening one. We will not be back, thank God. Oh and again the food was flavorless, spring rolls were soggy and the crab wonton...
Read moreFirst time and last time we will be eating from this restaurant. My order was placed online with a pickup time of 6:50-6:55. The order was done before the emailed pickup time I was given. I was notified via text @ 6:35 it was ready, thankfully my food was warm when I got back home. We ordered Pad Thai, Stir-fried eggplant, fried rice (since my stir fry didn't come with any rice..weird), lettuce wraps, and spring rolls. The only thing we ended up eating was some of the lettuce wrap (not terrible, but I've had better) & we each ate and enjoyed our spring roll surprisingly. The dinners were very bland & the fried rice was terrible. I thought since it was my first time ordering here I'd get fried rice & that should be good, if all else fails I could just eat this...wrong! I always enjoy fried rice. This rice was mushy, bland & only contained a tiny amount of egg. Usually fried rice consist of rice, sauce or oil of some sort, egg, & some veggies. Needless to say the order of fried rice was awful too, which is a first for me. I spent $65 on this meal for 2, thought we'd splurge & try a new restaurant. Now I have a headache for some reason, I'm out $65, the food is in the trash & I have to find something else for us to eat!
I would add a picture but I don't see any place to add one unfortunately.
I regret ordering here to only enjoy a spring roll and some of the mediocre lettuce wrap for $65!!! Way OVERPRICED for the quality of food!! I should get a partial refund in my opinion! I would've called, but it seemed the phone calls weren't being answered as I waited at the counter to pick up my food. I thought the multiple phone calls was a good sign & the food would be great. That couldn't be further...
Read moreThe Thai house is clean and the staff very pleasant .... that being, this dinning experience was equivalent to a good court counter.
The word Bistro should not even be in the name other then the food is served fast!
The true definition of a bistro is usually a mom and pop ran; small place to eat slow cooked foods , homemade dishes w alcohol beverages ; the concept .originating from the French culture.
Unfortunately, theThai House Bistro is none of theses things-
The meal itself as another customer noted is over priced for the amount of food compared to other Thai restaurants .As well as the over all flavour of the food. We ordered spring rolls , though better then frozen spring rolls from Costco not as good as say any joint in Bangkok I’ve eaten , or more recently the Golden Leaf in newberg Oregon. I had # 10 veg mix w meat of choice w brown sauce and rice . I ordered spicy to make my nose run. I chose chicken which was of poor quality to start - kinda rubbery barely any heat in my dish. My husband had pad Thai I believe w scallops which were way over cooked, bland. Did we complain and ask for it to be re executed ? No we didn’t not see the point since we cold not see the quality improving. As I said in the start not much better then food court quality. 39.72$ was the total and a 6$ tío .
Truly unfortunate as I’m sure it could have potential . Tomorrow we try the Bangkok...
