Rocky's Ace Hardware — Local services in Fitchburg

My husband's number #1 store to go to whenever he needs something for a home improvement project. ( Even though the prices are a little bit more, it's worth it ) Just wish they would keep their employees long term, every time we get to know one or 2 of the employees really well, within a year they are no longer working there. They would always greet us by first name every time we walk through the door is a really nice thing, it's like your small town Mom and Pop shop not the big home improvement store's that has zero knowledge about any of the products they carry or what isle a product might be in, and that's if you can even find help. My only suggestion is to offer the employees much better benefits and/or perks so they want to stay there and want to climb the ladder to go as far as they can go. The greetings and very helpful employees they had is what has keep us coming back for anything we may need. If our local Rocky's looses that great part making you feel like family, I doubt we would continue going there. We miss the personal help for anything we are looking for. They would walk us to the isle and product each and every time, sadly & unfortunately the last 2 visits we have made there we had zero help and not even a hello as...

If I ever opened up a store like this, the first person that I would call is Elizabeth. She is beyond professional. She is beyond helpful. She is beyond knowledgeable. Her customer service is second to none. Sean also did a great job today when I bought yet another chainsaw From Elizabeth… The reason why I went back and had to size up for the chainsaw and bought it from the store was because of those two. The other gentleman that was there at the register whose name I can’t remember was also very helpful. I saw him help a handicap man to his car. Also, a very nice person obviously. I can’t say enough about this store because of the people that worked there.

I had to get old receipts that I lost in a flood this weekend so I could claim for my insurance purposes And I was able to get what I needed and as usual Elizabeth and Shawn couldn’t be nicer and more of a help!!! Ty...

In a day and time where it seems that big box stores have taken over the world; it's refreshing to have a hardware store like Rocky's to go to. Sure, maybe they don't have the volume and prices that the monolithic companies have, but the variety of items that they carry isn't just what you would expect to find at a big box store. They carry a myriad of things besides just hardware. Things that you actually need and want. Not just a bunch of shiny trinkets to hypnotize the consumer into buying something that will sit in their basement/attic/garage until next summer's yard sale. Coupled with the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful customer service; you'll find yourself going back again and again. Just to be clear, I have no affiliation with Rocky's or it's employees.
