Hello- I am Dr. Ray residing in Orlando, Florida. I have been working closely with the Design Gallery in Flat Rock, NC for over two years. My designer, Dawn Driskill, is one spectacular individual— excellent taste, very thorough, polite, thoughtful, and kind. I asked her, along with my contractor, Paramount Construction, to gut a townhome I purchased during the pandemic on Lake Lure. Every problem possible was thrown at her, from workers sick with Covid, supply shortages, to infestations of all kinds. Making it harder for all concerned, was the fact that I was not locally on site, so everything had to be done over the phone or online. During the process, I never heard a bad word or felt disdain from her, or anyone else in her company. To the contrary, I was treated with the upmost respect, professionally, and willing to accommodate my detailed way of thinking. To make a long story short, The Design Gallery, along with my contractor, produced an elegant contemporary lake house that deserves a five star review. Upon finishing the project, I began to rent it out on AirBnb, and I get nothing but rave reviews- everyone just loves being there, and enjoys the quality of the construction and the design excellence. We bought a house and moved to Laurel Park, NC in 2019. Our new house had not been updated for 25 years and was in desperate need of a remodel. We had a general idea and direction for our design; however we needed an independent design perspective, technical advice and experience for our project.

The Design Gallery team provided all this and more. They listened to our ideas, suggested alternate concepts and we worked together to develop a beautiful design that we could not have envisioned on our own.

The Design Gallery has a great approach to interior design. I met with Dawn and Heather before we moved into our home so that they could get to know me, how my husband and I lived, and what our decorating preferences were. It was helpful to see some of their projects and ideas.
