I purchased an aftermarket Sony head unit with the Apple Carplay features for my daughter's first car, and after watching a bunch of YouTube videos about how to install it, I set to work while she was gone so it would be a surprise for her. Everything was going smoothly when I plugged the new unit in and it fired up....but no sound. It was late on a Saturday afternoon, and I thought, I'll just run it up to Freeman's and see if there is any way they can help. I didn't even know if they were open, and I didn't really expect them to be able to do anything for me on such short notice. Not only did Lovell get me hooked up with the antenna adapter and a USB port for the big cable coming out of the back of the head unit, he came out to put it all back together for me -- late on a hot Saturday afternoon. It looks and sounds awesome. Lovell is an absolute rock star of customer service and technical know-how. He got me fixed up in no time, and my daughter was super excited about the new radio. Not only that, but he wouldn't even let me pay him for helping me -- just charged me for the parts. I have purchased two stereos from Freeman's before, and I will let them handle anything that involves any of my audio/video/low voltage auto needs. They are top notch. I could not have been more pleased with Lovell and the outcome of my most recent visit...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would, very unprofessional. Drove 45 minutes with new radio in the box just for them to tell me they can't put it in even after they told me on the phone to drive up. Said "oh it's not gonna look good in there, what are people gonna say if you tell them you got it done here and they look in the truck and see it like that" i would have told them they are awesome and very professional by being accommodating to my situation. Im paying you for a service and you delivered but nope. Now its gonna be dont bother. Its a project truck that I drive to work. Why would I care about the looks at the moment. If I wanna pay you to put it in then pay you again to take it out when I redo the interior..? Tried comparing it to getting a tattoo. Then acted like I was dumb by trying to explain the wires and colors and that I'd have to connect them together. When I said I know I'd have to splice them together he just ended up printing out a small list of wires colors like I don't have it in my owner's manual already. Even said I already had a copy but he insisted. Ended up just trying to be nice cause at that point I just wanna get out of there so I can take my business elsewhere. Only decent thing suggested was that I may have...
Read moreI came to Freeman’s in Fletcher NC because I was considering an after market product (that I found myself on the internet) that allowed me to add Apple CarPlay to the in dash screen of my 2016 Infiniti Q50. That product turned out to be a piece of junk (no fault of Freeman’s) and I ultimately replaced that product with one that Freeman recommended.
Freeman ended up saving my bacon by facilitating this replacement and getting me up and running with a quality product that completely replicates Apple CarPlay like it’s factory installed in new cars. Their customer service and installation was top notch and Chien, the manager of the store, was very helpful and supportive as I dealt with the significant stress of the previous product and the unscrupulous company (MergeScreen) that sold that crappy product and wouldn’t provide the needed technical support to me and Freeman’s.
I am happy to have dealt with Freeman’s and would do so again based on the product I now have and their service and support through this process and getting to...
