I'm very disappointed in this consignment store.... I dropped stuff off and 6 to 8 weeks later still had not been put on the floor... so I called and picked it up because they said they had never gotten to it and they were no longer taking summer... so when I got it I went through what I had dropped off... to my surprise 2 pieces of clothing which were a match and a pair of sandles that were brand new with the tag were missing.... so I asked... their response was it was donated.... I asked ... HOW CAN YOU DONATE FOR SOMETHING YOU HAVE NOT GONE THROUGH... the response was well it could have been stained and we took it out... funny how IT WAS A MATCHING SET... and then their response was OUR WORD AGAINST YOURS... and its my fault for taking my stuff anyway... the last time I was told my stuff was STOLEN OFF THE FLOOR.... I know I could not be the only one out there having unusual situations happening... I'm puzzled how a business that depends on local families to drop off stuff to keep their business going would treat people in this manner... one might think you would appreciate the people who brings things to keep their business going!
Yes 2 times I CALLED TO CONFIRM 2 times I was told SUMMER It had been 2 weeks after my 1st call so I called the 2nd time because it was quicker for me to get them there ... I was told SUMMER 6 to 8 weeks my stuff had not been put out ... so I wanted it back... Yes I understand you got to the bigger and blocky items 1st and that you donated the VHS... but they were exercise stuff and some people do still have VHS so I thought maybe... I didn't not have a problem with you donating it I understood SLANDER IS SOMETHING FALSE ... THE FACT IS YOU SAID YOU HAD NOT EVEN HAD TIME TO GO THROUGH MY STUFF ... SO HOW CAN YOUR EMPLOYEE SAY IT WAS SOILED AND DONATED... THE SANDLES HAD A TAG THE CLOTHES WERE ALMOST NEW WORN 1 TIME... and when I question if No one looked at them how could KNOW ANYTHINGWAS WRONG... YOUR EMPLOYEE OFFERED UP... YOUR WORD AGAINST OURS .... WHAT???... why??? ... so thats THE FACT .. NO...
Read moreI had a few large furniture items to consign at Lulu's while I was there they were very nice and I had two other small things to consign as well one was a baby monitor and the other was a baby backpack carrier I had bought a week before but did not like the way it fit they said that both of my items were very nice and they would be accepted later on I noticed that my monitor had appeared on my items online baby baby backpack carrier did not when I called they said it had been donated due to stains when basically it was brand new they said that nobody would have told me they would be accepted like i was lying and offered togive me me the number to Council on Aging because it was supposedly donated this is not the first time this has happened and I paid over $65 for that the week before I will not be consigning here anymore. I would understand if I had brought a tote full of clothing and it was an item or two but this was not like that and I think this was very poor management save your time and effort and go somewhere else now I'm out a $65 backpack carrier i could have at least given as a nice gift but it was donated for their tax write off not mine and this is not the first time very disappointed. Talked to other ppl this has happened to as well so it's not just me that...
Read moreThe customer service staff are very friendly, and I do recommend this place for shoppers; however, I have not had a great experience as a consigner. Despite studying the list of items they accept/don't accept on their website, they have rejected many supposedly acceptable items. These items did not have rips, stains or pet hair etc.. Including a Kate Spade dress! When I inquired regarding this dress, I was told it was rejected because there was a stain, yet no where in my examination did I find a stain upon dropping it off. This also happened with a basket I dropped off that was damaged while in the store, and therefore did not sell. I have only dropped high end, lightly used inventory. I do not smoke and don't own a pet. It has been such a waste of time. I won't be consigning here again. The fact that the store is not following their own list of accepted items and also donates unwanted items without giving the consigner a chance to retrieve them, puts the consigner on the losing end. Consigners beware - You would be better off donating the items to charity yourself and saving...
