I needed a custom suit for a wedding I am in. I have bought dozens of suits from Jos A Bank, so I was anticipating a similar experience at Men's Warehouse. The whole process was way over complicated and painful. I went there four times before I had a suit that was ultimately acceptable. When you are paying $500 for a suit, you expect a certain level of expertise and an easy process. It seemed like every time I came in they were measuring another part of my body. I had to be my own advocate to get the suit tailored to where it did not look ridiculous. The second time I came in the lady told me it looked great. The suit was super baggy and looked ridiculous Felt like she was just trying to get me out the door with it. One of the older male managers told me the third time that I went that it was not uncommon for someone to come in 8-9 times before the custom suit was done. This sounded insane to me. One of the times I went I asked about having the pants tapered and the older gentleman seemed annoyed and responded "once we taper it we can undo it" as if the request was completely absurd. I thought tapered pants was a standard part of a custom suit? I had to ask them to measure everything instead of them just doing it from the get go. Would not come back here. It seemed like the majority of employees there were new and had no idea what they were doing and no guidance...
Read moreIt's been a little while since I went to this location, but the experience was bad enough that I remember it well. My husband (fiancé at the time) and I stopped by on a Thursday evening last November, looking to find suits for him and his groomsmen for our wedding. We didn't really know exactly what we wanted so we were definitely in need of some guidance. We walked inside and were quickly greeted by...no one. Unsure of what to do, we stood there and waited as a young woman approached and asked us what we needed. Not the friendliest approach, for sure. I told her what we were looking for and she brought us to a place with a catalog of their options. I asked about a charcoal gray suit and she said they only had black and gray. I asked about a matching tie and she said they only had a black or white tie. Most of the time, she simply stood there in silence as we looked at the page of options in front of us, having no idea how we should proceed. She was rude and disinterested at best and on something at worst. It was honestly hard to tell. What wasn't hard to figure out is that we were not welcome. As soon as she left us to go talk to one of her coworkers, we were gone. Very unprofessional, borderline hostile environment. I have no interest in going back. We tried the Colerain location next and had a much...
Read moreI have waited almost 2 years to make this post. I took my son-in-law here for his wedding. We did not know if he was going to get a suit or tux. The woman that helped us acted “put out” to have to help us and was not friendly at all. Yes, we should have left right then. She said it was better to rent a tux than buy a suit. So we said ok. We told her we were concerned about it fitting him correctly because he is so muscular and she replied I’ve been doing measurements for years, it will be fine. Two days before the wedding we go to pick up. He tires it on and it was a nightmare. The jacket and shirt were way too big, it was like a tent. We didn’t know what to do. So we left with the tux. When I got home I was so upset I called them. I spoke to the man that had helped us earlier and I told him I don’t understand. She took measurements and said it would fit. He told me for his body size he would have never had us rent a tux. Should have bought a suit!! I couldn’t believe it! We had to go the day before the wedding to buy a suit (not from them because they were getting no more of our money) and found a very nice place that hemmed the pants the day of...
