Walking into Five Guys Burgers and Fries, I was immediately greeted by the aroma of sizzling, fresh-off-the-grill burgers which was a promising start to what became a fantastic dining experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, ensuring my order was taken quickly and accurately. While waiting, I appreciated the open-kitchen layout that allowed me a peek at the magic behind my meal.

When my burger arrived, it was clear that Five Guys doesn’t skimp on quality or quantity. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of toppings to complement the beef without overpowering it. And the fries — oh, the fries! Five Guys is on the priced side of ‘fast food’ but usually worth it. $5+ for a large fry and normally you get a bag full of fries. I’ve not been in a while but went today with my family and it was over $50 for 4 of us. I ordered large fries and the picture is what they served me. Pretty much every time I’ve gone in the past, if I ordered a regular size it was enough for 2-3 people. This time I got more in the small order of Cajun fries than I did in the large order of fries. I did mention it to the guy that served the food and he just filled the cup the rest of the way. Still not even close to what they set the expectation to be when I ordered fries and likely why in the future if I’m going to ha e a ‘cheat day’ from my diet that I will pick anywhere else to go. I could have gone to any number of restaurants around Florence and eaten with the family for $50+ this...

There is only one reason anyone goes to 5 guys and it is to get a juicy cheeseburger with a ton of toppings, period. The Florence store is no different except you can count on the regular crew of guys working there, which tells me a lot about a restaurant, because they keep their employees. Now, I know its not a recent development but the addition of shakes and malts to the 5 guys menu is perfect. We have been to other 5 guys with the kids especially in areas around beaches where they had malts and shakes. We have inquired about them at tbe Florence store a few times and they are finally here. I don't know if its because of the great burgers or what but the malts and shakes are really good after one of these burgers.
