As many other have noted, this is a store that is very well supplied with items needed for office use. It is not supplied with any person that gives an care or concern to questions you may have, concerns that you may offer or anything else that will keep them from standing around and talking or hiding from their on duty manager. My purchase was not major though exceeded $100 and I learned after I got home that it was the wrong product. Not what I had at all requested, and that is on me and my desire to get out of that store as quickly as possible with my purchase. This review is hopefully for the store manager(s) as much as the consumer in that both parties should know what actually shopping in store will entail. My time of entry was neither after first opening nor near final closing. In the interest of not being upset any further rather than endure the anticipated frustration of having to make a return which would have resulted in a product upgrade and up-sell I am going to likely donate the item to a local non profit for their office and purchase what I need from a competitor. Read moreRecently, I visited Staples Store #0049, in Florence, KY. While returning an Amazon product, my first associate, Patrick was friendly, helpful. and efficient! He was calm and professional, and yet all of the associates worked very well together, and the treated their customers with great customer service.
Absolutely, I LOVE the easy-peasy Amazon return process at Staples stores!
Elliana, another associate was moving around the copy floor efficiently performing various print tasks. And I was able to ask her a few questions about printing at Staples. She was super helpful and knowledgable.
As a matter of fact all the associates I encountered were good at their jobs and had these really fantastic attitudes. They treated me well every part of my visit.
Finally, just for shipping a package or returning an Amazon purchase, Staple's ship person helping me gave me a store COUPON for a pretty good percentage off a single purchase! Which I LOVED. Its was a pleasent surprise to get a nice % discount.
This wonderful young cashier named Parker checked out my purchase for me, was friendly right away, and fun. He treated me with respect and I appreciated it. All the associates were sincere...
Read moreToday was the second time in four weeks I went shopping at the Florence Staples store.
Prior, when I was ready to check out there was no manned checkout. There was however a person being checked out at the service desk behind the checkouts so I got in line there. Customer and staff were conversing after the purchase and so I waited and waited. The line grew four deep while the conversation proceeded without an recognition of the line. Finally another clerk comes to an empty checkout and the last person to get in line goes the checkout. I put my purchase down and walked out.
Today there was one person in the checkout, again conversing. Conversation continued after the purchase was completed and the clerk kept giving me apologetic looks. Finally the customer picks up their bag and walks a few feet away. Then turn and restarts the conversation. The clerk makes no attempt to checkout my purchase but continues conversing. I put my wallet back in my pocket and leave. At least the clerk looked at me and said "I'm sorry, sir."
Even if the staff has nothing to do they should recognize that other people may be busy and don't have...
