QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Florence

I visited this restaurant twice in one week and we had bad experiences both times. I was very polite about the first incident and said that I wanted to offer a polite critique. Today was a different story. I ordered the Surf & Turf bowl advertised for $12.45, nothing else and my bill was over $16. I asked why and the boy explained that what was advertised was for the way it is already dressed. When I was asked if I wanted to create my own bowl, I was not told that it cost considerably more. I told the young man, Logan, that I was not going to pay the difference until he could show me on the wall why I was paying more and he proceeded to try to show me on the register. I finally found Surf & Turf in another location and though it was the same name, it was not evident that you pay much more if you request toppings. Later, the manager, Zion, admitted that it was confusing and had talked to corporate about the matter. However, it was Logan's approach of hushing me and explaining to me several times when I repeatedly told him that I didn't want to be lectured, that I only wanted to know the bottom line - the price. When I was notified that I had to pay $16 + I said no and waited to talk to Zion. I told Zion that I wanted to talk to the district manager and he told me that he was not permitted to share that information and that it would do me no good to talk to corporate since the owner owned the franchise. I told him that I needed some avenue to register my complaint and I was once again denied. I asked then, if my only option was to take to social media and not return to the restaurant to which his reply was, "That's fine." This place needs some adult supervision and not just run by young people. There needs to be a way to register complaints. I will continue until I find some way. I would certainly like the owner to confirm that this nonchalant, complacent attitude is alright. The message was loud and clear that there was no recourse for me as a customer who had an issue. ...

Originally going to put 3 stars but changed it to two as there is nothing actually good to write. Ordered for delivery with UberEats which I'll be honest, could be part of the issue. HOWEVER being new to the area and wanting to try something other than pizza I gave this a shot. I don't know if I'm being Biased towards this place after experiancing better food in Pennsylvania HOWEVER, I ordered 5 tacos of all different meats, wraps, toppings ect and a chicken quesadilla. As this is Mexican food I ordered according to what I KNOW I like (even down to what salsa goes with what taco) and it was just bad. The chicken was dry and had no flavor. Steak and ground beef were so greasy it ruined the shell. Ground beef wouldn't have been too bad had it still been even slightly warm but biting into a chunk of cold beef is just not my thing. It was sad as I had high hopes to find a good Mexican place and this was no where near it. Pico tasted like it came out of a can, lettuce was bigger than the taco, cheese wasn't even mexican cheese, and salsa seemed to be canned as well. Honestly the only thing I WISH could have been great were the containers the food came in to be reused but you can't even save that. Tonight I will be throwing away 5 tacos with only 1 bite taken out of them. Disappointed. But than again temp could have been because of the delivery but based on flavor alone, I wouldn't imagine it being better...

Called this location inquiring about my absolutely WHACKY dietary needs. Not ONLY did Brittany give me accurate information, did not judge me. Polite, informative and even told me about other options that would keep me at the right price for my needs. I was concerned. It's strange. She ASSURED me that her professional, courteous and knowledgeable staff could help even if she wasn't present after our phone call. Let me tell you. ACCURATE. Brittany was on break, I was afraid ro even ask the wonderful young lady at the counter... but HANNAH WAS AWESOME! I told her my WHACKY stuff, in line, in the store... she stood tall "I got you". I can make whatever you need just like that. What would you like in it?
