Have always had a good experience until today. Bought 8 pounds of greens beans and bought their green beans seasonings. When cashier was running card another worker informed her that I couldn't buy 6 packs of seasonings I could only buy 4 that there was a limit. Which btw there was no sign or information stating that in store. I asked if my husband could buy the other ones separately for me. The second women told me no she needed the extras for her customers. I saidm I not a customer? Sorry was her answer. I said we are two different people and two separate transactions. The women told me be happy I got four packs. I said but I have 8 pounds of beans. She told me to go somew r here else and gabbed bags to return my purchase. I stated I spend a lot of money there because I enjoy the local food. She was very insistent for me not to spend money there. I hate to say this but not sure if it was because my husband is black and I am white or what. But she didn't want our money and didn't want us in store. I was so embarrassed and upset by being talked to like our money wasn't good enough or wanted. I for every holiday by ten to fifteen pounds of green beans and seasonings. Spend 100-200 each visit. DO NOT SHOP HERE. If your African American their rude and don't want to answer questions. They act like they don't hear you and rude at the checkout counter. They treat Caucasian individuals different from African Americans. I made a purchase here they refused to give me a bag for my purchase. I informed the Caucasian worker that I would like a bag for my items. She refused. So I left the items there. However, she gave the Caucasian lady in front of me a bag for her purchase. With no problem. My rating for this market is F- or a -10. There no option for a no star or negative star rating. If your in business with the public you should leave your personal racism at the door. The likelihood of never having a minority customer is slim to none. Ever since moving to North County last fall, Goeke’s has become our household’s #1 produce shop. I’ve been coming here at least once or twice a month to stock up! The quality of produce even on the coldest days of winter truly is amazing, you all had peaches on the coldest day of the year and my goodness, it hit the spot! The cucumbers are by far the best I’ve ever had!!! I’ve also tried numerous spices and teas which are also great. I could go on and on about all of the great items that are carried here, and even better is the price! As an avid Aldi shopper, I can say I stopped buying my produce there and started buying everything at Goeke’s. You seriously can’t beat the quality and cost.
