Called ahead yesterday and was told they had skirt steak just couldn't take orders over the phone but that we could come in and get it now. When I arrived the woman with long hair acted like I was bothering here by wanting to place an order. When I asked for skirt steak she said bluntly "we dont have any". I told her we just got off the phone with a man who said you had some and to come in. She stormed off and came back saying nothing but "we dont have any". I asked if they had an alternative meat flank steak. She said "we dont have any". I said I didnt understand since we were told 20 minutes ago to come in since you had some. All I got was a "we dont have any" and a blank stare like I was bothering her and stupid for not comprehending. I asked to put the dog treats back that I had picked out and quickly left. a few weeks ago, I tried to order chicken thighs cut into very thin filets because I didn't have the time to do it myself ahead of smoking. after 2 calls back from the person who took my order, 2nd person called me back the day before my order first explained they need more notice on thighs (ok fine) & then was confused about my order because they had I wanted chunks... not filets.
Today I called to place a large order, was placed on hold for 30 minutes, hung up on. I have tried to call back every 10-15m since to place my order.
I used to love this place because the staff had knowledge & was passionate about their product & service. If I was smoking meat, it only came from Max's.

This lady said that they stop making subs at 3:00p, when I stopped into this place of business on Saturday.
I arrived at 2:12pâwhen no one was in the store. I ordered exactly one Italian sub.
Rudely, she responded by saying âWe got our butts kicked today, we decided to shut that down.â
That is very improper. If your hours of operations say one thingâthen, you need to make sure your employees honor that.
She was very rude and condescending. I pray for her.
However, Mike, you lost out on big business. I was eventually going to use this place to cater for my students talent show. (Iâm a teacher and my colleagues wanted a tray of subs eventuallyâI was just being a taste dummy).
