Dearly Beloved was not the first bridal shop we went to, but it was the last! We had a rough morning at a different shop (non-size inclusive, low stock, barging in on the bride in the changing room). In a panic, I (MOH) called Dearly Beloved and asked if that had any same day availability. The said yes, booked us for 45 minutes later, and asked about our budget. They went out of their way to say they wanted to be respectful of the budget we set and not put us in a position to fall in love with a dress outside of our preferred price range.
When we arrived, Lana greeted us, discussed styles with the bride, and showed us to a very cozy seating area outside the changing space for the bride. Lana discussed the bride's comfort level and allowed her to choose how the try on process would go--she prepped each dress for us, I helped the bride change into it, and would pass the previous dress through the curtain so she could hang it up without violating the brides privacy. She asked consent each and every time she adjusted a gown, pointed out a detail or clipped her in.
They had so many options in our price range as well as multiple areas we could view the dress in (different lightings). They had gowns in a wide range of sizes and colors, making the try on process seamless. We ended up with the most beautiful, perfect gown for the bride. The shop even offered to call our other scheduled appointment for the day and cancel it on our behalf.
When the bride said yes to the dress, the store provided us with a champagne toast and allowed us to take our time, take photos, and move to the ordering process as we were ready.
This was a positive experience on what began as a difficult day. I will never recommend any other store to my friends/family who need a wedding gown, because no experience could top the one we had at Dearly Beloved.
TLDR: size inclusive, respectful of bodily autonomy, fun, caring, helpful, respectful of budget,...
Read more(Only reason an 4âď¸ rating is because of manager- see bottom of review) After visiting several bridal boutiques we had such a wonderful experience today at Dearly Beloved with Trinity!!! She really listened to exactly what my daughter was wanting AND absolutely respected our price range!! She brought in several dresses for her to try and helped her narrow down her choices - she also gave us plenty of private time to take pictures and discuss. We never felt rushed like at the other boutiques, we never felt pressured to spend more than budgeted, she didnât pressure us to make a decision, they offered to pay the cancellation fees for appointments at other boutiques if we decided to purchase a dress from Dearly Beloved. Schedule your visit with Trinity - she was so GREAT!!! One Warning the âmanagerâ came up at check out and told us they would be adding on $125 for âtariffsâ - we questioned this and she wouldnât budge - the discussion really made everyone at checkout uncomfortable and she was was pretty pushy - she did say it could be refunded âIFâ the designer didnât add charges for tariffs - she also said they add â$125-$300â for terrifs depending on the dress. My frustration is (speaking from experience) boutiques have enough mark up already on the dresses to cover extra/unexpected costs from the designer until they are able to modify prices (if it is something that is ongoing) - we probably would not have canceled our other appointments had we known about this before check out. Definitely a deterrent for an otherwise...
Read moreI would never recommend this bridal boutique. When I arrived to pick up my dress, it already had a stain on the bottom. The manager did everything she could to remove it while I was there, but the real question isâwhy was a brand new dress given to me with a stain in the first place?
On top of that, I was sold a size 0 even though my waist clearly measured as a size 2. When I tried it at home, it did not zip up at all. I cannot wear it. With only five weeks until my wedding, I am left with a $1,700 dress that is completely unwearable.
When we called the owner, Launa, she admitted that my measurements matched a size 2 but said nothing could be done because I had signed for the size 0. I understand contracts and policies, but what I donât understand is why a professional would knowingly sell a bride a dress that was too small, and why a âbrand newâ dress would come with a stain.
The dress I tried on in store was a size 8, so there was no way for me to know how a 0 or 2 would truly fit. I trusted Launaâs expertise as the owner, but instead of feeling supported, I walked away with an unwearable dress and no solution offered.
Brides deserve honesty, care, and accountability when making such an important purchase. Sadly, this boutique did not...
