I've been a customer for a while now and never had a problem with anything, all the sweets have been great. My father came in to get 2 Valentine's cookies for my mother and I and it was the first treat that was terrible. Shocked at this, we wanted to return the cookies in hopes of a credit or refund. Because we have never had an issue with anything before. And as one cookie was $6, we definitely wanted to get something we can enjoy. My mother went in to explain politely how the cookies tasted horrible, and we love coming here and if we could get a credit to get a different treat. A lady came in from the back so offended at this, and repeatedly asked what the problem was. As we try to explain, the cookie tasted bad, we couldn't eat it and they were expensive, we wanted to return them. She kept saying she would if there was a problem, and that by us saying, they tasted bad, wasn't a problem. We went back and forth for 10 mins trying to nicely explain, the taste of this wasn't good. Please can we return them. She then said it was our problem, and not hers, so we couldn't get a refund cause everyone else likes them and no one complained about them. And flat out refused to give any reimbursement. Very rude, very unprofessional, and we will not be coming back because of this lady. Customer service here needs to improve, other wise we would have gladly kept being loyal customers, and telling all our friends about this place. Read moreMy first experience hearing about Hive and going there was around the beginning of April when they had their Taylor Swift cupcakes…and wow!! This shop has many unique flavors and beautiful designs you could drop your whole wallet there and be happy. I ordered their champagne problems cupcake which was you guessed it champagne flavored, something I’ve never had before. The flavor was lightly sweet, and the texture was great - soft but not falling apart, perfect for a cupcake. I ordered the Midnights cupcake and Polaroid cookie for a Swiftie friend that day and she also greatly enjoyed. I came back the next day and ordered the Mirrorball cupcake (earl grey flavored - wow!) and another Polaroid cookie for my friend’s birthday. I was a little nervous because I had to store them two weeks in the freezer since I wouldn’t be seeing her for a while - and after two weeks they were still delicious and maintained it’s beautiful design. Very impressed with the quality represented here and they helped me treat two very special people. Ordering online was super easy and they even held my items for a second day when I called and requested that for my second purchase. Both times I went in the shop I had great chats with the staff, and they were even helpful with getting me signed up for a giveaway. Their social media posts are the best and I feel so supported by their actions and words supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Read moreI have been here only once, WITH MY BOYFRIEND, but I was thoroughly impressed with the several items we bought from the counter. The female associate, (sadly, I forgot her name) was great and informative about explaining what everything was and what the ingredients were. I then asked to speak to Haley, the manager. I instantly noticed the associate take pause and look pensive. I completely expected that response considering all the backlash they've received. Haley came out and I lauded her for her courage and stance on so many important issues, regardless of what anyone else might think. From all the "hate" she receives, no wonder she and her staff are guarded. She speaks her mind and doesn't mince words. She will serve anyone, as long as they treat her and her staff with dignity and respect. However, if someone approaches her with hate and belligerence, don't expect her to back down. Haley, stay strong and stand up for what you believe in! There's only so many "we're sorry you had a bad experience" responses you can give and not retaliate to the pure evil of some of the reviewers' comments! Moral of the story, if you don't like a business for their products, customer service, or views on inclusiveness for all...then by all means, don't even darken their doorstep.
