Iâm not much of a âreviewâ guy, somewhat because I am a Senior and posting is not really in my wheelhouse. Service is not common these days in any industry, so when you experience it, the effect is uncommonly rewarding. I havenât even eaten here here yet, but could not WAIT to applaud this establishment. A very good friend of mine suggest I come here (I live in Garland, a bit of a haul, and I knew he wouldnât suggest if it wasnât worth it) and try the âBiscuit Bombâ, only available on Saturdays! My son who lives in Flower Mound has a birthday coming and I had mentioned this to him as well, so I thought it would be a great place to experience The Bomb and celebrate his birthday. It occurred to me to call and get the lay of the land in case they only made a finite amount to try to insure we got what we came for. A delightful young lady (I want to say her name is Taylor, but my memory isnât all that great) wasnât sure what to tell me, so she went to ask her manager. She came back and apologized profusely explaining that this menu item had been cycled out, but would be available again the next Saturday. But, when you come in, let me know because my manager wants to give you something to make up for the confusion. I thanked her and said just making the offer and the time you have spent on me are more than enough, but I would like to speak to your manager. Dennis (again, I probably have the name wrong) gets on the phone with me and I complimented her and him both for the service that is so rare and assured him I would seek out the Bombs on another Saturday. I no more than disconnect and my phone rings and itâs the Manager. The chef/baker that makes the Bombs overheard parts of the conversation and WANTS to come in and make sure you get your Bombs. In fact, sheâs excited about it! If the food is half as good as the staff, this is going to be a...
Read moreCerulean Blue is worth a visit just for the scones. They're the best we've had in the US and certainly in the top 3 even when including the UK. The dark chocolate and blackberry was a perfect flavor pairing and was served perfectly warmed. I look forward to returning and trying the muffins (the were sold out) and those incredible looking biscuits with strawberry butter.
The atmosphere seems to be designed to provide a feeling of peace. The decorative color pallet and videos of waves definitely made me feel relaxed and welcomed.
But it's a coffee place and it was afternoon so I had a decaf espresso. It was good, but I would've preferred more options for decaf than just espresso drinks. For example, it would be wonderful if they'd add an option for a single cup pour-over or Chemex for a proper cup of decaf in the afternoon. I would've loved a decaf cold brew, but I know that's too much to ask as I've never seen a coffee shop offer it. Maybe I'm the only person that would drink coffee all day if a good decaf is available.
Summary: What a wonderful place. Cerulean Blue is now my favorite coffee place in Flower Mound and is absolutely worth a stop if you're anywhere close to...
Read moreJust visited the newly-opened Cerulean Blue Coffee House in Parker Square in Flower Mound and it is amazing. The coffee is fantastic, the Chai Latte (hot) was delicious and I donât even know where to begin with describing the Strawberry/White Chocolate scone. That was without a doubt the best scone Iâve ever tasted! In fact, when I gave a bite to my wife she finished the rest of mine so we went back for another:)
The space is very inviting as well, with a mixture of tables and couch/easy chair seating, modern light fixtures, and an open, contemporary feel. The couple next to us called the owner, Paul, over to let him know they have traveled all over the world and make it a point to try blueberry muffins anywhere they can find them and said the Cerulean Blue offering was the best theyâve ever had.
They have a lot more on the breakfast and lunch menu that we will have to get back to try but Flower Mound has a great new entry in the coffee house segment. Looks like the word may be getting out as well as it filled up by the time we left this morning. Wishing them much success and hope a few readers of this post will...
