Avoid shopping this store if you use EBT or WIC benefits. Multiple times this store has overcharged our family incorrectly on items that should have been covered because their products are not properly in the system causing us to spend more than.
Now today I was completely denied my benefits as the manager/customer service would not open a checkout lane (which this store requires for WIC). I was checking out of the store last 5 minutes they were open and told the employee that I needed a checkout lane or customer service. Every time I shop this store the manager has me checkout at their desk because WIC does not work at self-checkout. The employee just told me all of the lanes are closed already. This shouldnāt be the case if your store is still open.. am I wrong?
The employee then reassured me that I absolutely could use check self-checkout for WIC. He sounded very certain so I just replied āthatās great they fixed that issueā as this is the only store I can think of that doesnāt let you use WIC at self-checkout.
I then proceeded to scan my few items and when tried to pay with my WIC card and it would not work (just as I had told them before trying to checkout). The employee running self-checkout offered no solutions just giving me a blank look like I was supposed to figure it out myself. I then asked him if I should just go to the customer service desk as I needed to use my WIC. He did not have a reply for me.
Then after multiple requests he finally asked for the manager, only for her to shout across the store for the multiple people standing near me to hear what was going on and then told me āThe store is now closed there is nothing I can doā.
This was completely unprofessional making this a scene for everyone to know my business completely humiliating me and also would not accept my benefits but were totally happy to accept cash/credit/debit. Iām not proud of being in need but it is unfortunately a part of life. They would still let me pay with cash or a debit/credit card at self checkout but they would not accept my benefits? How is this equal treatment to customers? Needless to say this manager and the lack of knowledge or professionalism with the employees made this experience extremely embarrassing.
Almost every time Iāve been here they make you walk your groceries to the manager/customer service which is always embarrassing by itself as bystanders always hear what is going on. There is no reason anyone other than myself and the cashier should be hearing my business. Cash/credit/debit card users do not get treated in this manner so it is always embarrassing.
This could have been completely avoided if the manager cared whatsoever, but instead of helping me she caused me to lose my benefits which expired this night. I left the store without my food that I shopped for. This was a very humiliating and completely unacceptable to treat anyone, especially someone in need.
I have been a long standing customer regardless of all the issues this place has given me as it is close to my home, but if you ask me Buecheās Food World should not offer EBT or WIC with all the issues they have caused me I canāt imagine Iām the only one having this experience.
Instead of fixing their mistakes they caused me and my family more...

There is no one to ask. Today really got under my skin. I donāt know where they are finding some of these new people but the young man that bagged my items needs a lot more training. Iām wondering if they have been given any instructions to begin with. I asked for paper bags expecting I would have at least two. At 75 and being told by my doctor not to lift much I watch what I do. I purchased one half gallon of milk, one half gallon of Almond milk, one quart of half & half, a regular can of coffee, coffee filters and a large bunch of bananas. All this he strategically packed into one bag. If my wife would have come home with this she would have had to carry in a few items at a time. Please kids, ask for some more training before you cripple...

Her birthday was approaching fast and I needed to get something ordered asap. We've had many delicious treats from Bueches before so I went there and showed the bakery a picture of what she wanted. To my surprise The kind lady behind the counter ( I wish I would have got her name) said " Yes we can do that," I was excited. The next morning I received a call, it was the bakery again telling me she had researched the cake and found it had some special logos that she was able to do.
