Purchased a new washer and microwave the same day, just a few months ago. Washer was installed incorrectly such that the first load of wash literally shook the machine so violently in the spin cycle that I could feel it in the floorboards throughout the house. Had to send the experts back to correct this. Now my fabric softener dispenser is not working and just holds water after each cycle that I need to jam paper towels in to soak up. Very nice repairman came out and told me he'd order a new part, should be in within 7-10 days. Never heard back from anyone, so called today, they said it's on national backorder and they just found out about it today. I know that's not their fault, but a proactive company would at least make a phone call to me to let me know they're looking into the delay once it goes past the promised date. My microwave literally blocks my wifi signal in my house whenever it is on, and the best they can tell me on that is "sometimes that happens with microwaves". I've owned microwaves since they invented them and have never had this happen. It's sounds like a cheap piece of junk when you close the door. Again, I'm told "they don't make them like they used to". My last microwave didn't do that, nor do any of my friends, so I guess "they don't make them like they used to" is code for I'm' stuck with it. I'm now selling this microwave and will buying another one elsewhere, where they actually give a darn about their customers. I'm sure you'll get a good deal at this place when things are on sale, but make darn sure you do your research on what you are getting beforehand. You can definitely find more proactive service support elsewhere. Highly disappointed.
Feb 7 Update to Ray's response . . . NO, it is NOT a use and care issue, unless following the directions in the operator's manual constitutes "use and care issue". The fabric softener reservoir fills with water which stands there until I or my wife take a paper toweling and stick it in there to soak it up. That is a defective product, not a user error, and the fact that you try to pass it off as a use and care issue speaks volumes. You didn't do me a favor by warranting it . . . it's under warranty, and therefore it should be covered. The fact that this part, for a brand new washer, is still on "national backorder"--and has been for months--clearly suggests that this issue is not limited to me alone. And yes, the install was screwed up at first. The washer literally shook the floorboards in my house, and you had to send your guys back to correct it. You would have been better off in your response to me admitting that this whole thing could have and should have gone a lot better, and owned up to it. Trying to pass this off like you're doing me a favor by covering a defective product that is already under warranty to begin with only makes you look...
Read moreBought washer and dryer at separate times. Dealt with owner both times. Fair price for both items both work great. When we needed a new refrigerator, knew where to go. Again, worked with owner. Bought a nicer Samsung refrigerator. Only had 1 year warranty. Just after warranty expired, ice machine stopped working. I stopped in and spoke with them, not the owner, but one of the staff. They recommended changing water filter using Samsung filter, not an aftermarket. Bought filter from them, thawed ice from maker, changed filter. Within 3 days, froze up again. Called Ray’s, was told $100 just to come take a look. After doing some research, found I was not only one that had issues with Samsung ice makers. Called Samsung see what they could do. They told me they wanted to send tech out to repair. Said they would take care of parts and labor. Well, go figure they couldn’t find one to come out. Asked me to find local tech. I called Ray’s, and asked if they would honor this offer from Samsung. Was told “no, we won’t. Samsung won’t work with us so we’re not working with them.” Really!? Not sure who I was speaking with at Ray’s, but she went as far to tell me she doesn’t recommend Samsung with dispensers to anyone. Just disappointed. Spent around $3500 for a quality appliance from a local place and can’t even use features without spending...
Read more0 stars for service. Bluemke’s used to service my washer and dryer and sadly have stopped doing it. They suggested Ray’s on their website. Brian came out to diagnose the dryer. If he would have done basic troubleshooting he would have found out that the dryer plug was wired incorrectly. Incorrect diagnosis left me with close to $350 in parts that I didn’t need and being charged $120 for an incorrect diagnosis. I asked to be credited for the misdiagnosis and they would not. They charged me for the parts I didn’t need. Both times Brian came out to put a part in, he did not wait around 15 minutes to make sure that the dryer was working properly. He asked me to text him if it still wasn’t working. Unacceptable! As a small business owner, if I cannot supply the client with what they want they are given a refund. It is such a struggling and scary time for small business owners and I just flushed $500 down the toilet and had a dryer that didn’t work properly for a month and a half. Call...
