We placed an online order and received a free 8 pc nuggets for opening this first time account. The ordering process went smooth--with exception to the chicken sandwich combo not having options to select your preferred side item, sauce, or drink--it automatically selected sweet potato fries,, BBQ sauce, and Coke. So, we ordered a la carte instead. We ordered the chicken sandwich only; plus another 24pc nuggets, and a large Mac n cheese. With the free 8 pc nuggets, our total was over $23.00. It seems high because it was just one meal for my son. We arrived 20 minutes later. We waited in the drive thru for 7-9 minutes before. pulling up to the order speaker. I had heard something spoken, but I wasn't fully up to speaker where I could hear clearly. I said, "hi, what was that?" I didn't get a reply so I assumed I had been told to hold on. We waited with the car running for about 5-7 minutes and I started to question if I'd heard her correctly. She suddenly spoke and I told her we had an online order. She told me to pull forward to the window. We pulled up and waited about 5 minutes. She opened the window to inform- us they were out of BBQ sauce for the nuggets. The default selection was BBQ sauce--the online ordering didn't have the option to select sauces. I said Ranch would be good. We waited 5-8 minutes before she opened the window to hand me our order. I wasn't asked about a receipt and I forgot to request one. She was polite enough. It was clear they were busy and possibly short handed. At home, my son enjoyed his chicken nuggets and chicken sandwich; but, he wouldn't eat the macaroni and cheese--which is his all time favorite--he said it tasted different and not as good. Over all, online ordering was nice if you can keep it simple. Paying online is nice because you don't have to scramble to retrieve your card while someone is waiting on you at the window. I'm just happy they had enough staff to be open. They seem pricey, especially compared to another delicious chicken establishment located in our area that's been family-owned and operated...
Read moreTo start off, I love that chicken from Popeye's, so this 1 star isn't about the food. This happened today, for lunch.
I had been seeing the ads for free delivery, so I downloaded the app and purchased an order, which came out to over $20. I received the confirmation email, saying it had been paid for with the card I had put into the app, and a text telling me when it would be delivered. About 15 minutes later, I got a call from the DoorDash delivery driver telling me that I still needed to pay for the food. (I don't know if every Popeye's uses DoorDash, but this one does.) I was confused and explained what I just wrote here. He found the GM of the store, and I talked to her about it, with her insisting the payment hadn't been made. While on the phone, I opened my credit card app and saw that the payment had in fact gone through. I told this to the GM, who basically accused me of lying, and told me I could not have my food, because it hadn't been paid for.
The DoorDash driver ended up being the saving grace of this ordeal, working with corporate DoorDash to determine where the disconnect was, and actually delivering the (now cold) food to us for free. I gave him a good tip, and we talked for awhile.
When we opened the food, we discovered we'd actually been jilted two biscuits from our order, anyway. So, on all levels, Popeye's failed. I love the food, but I don't think they're getting my business back anytime soon. At least, not until they get a...
Read moreI normally do not write these type of reviews but I feel customer service in general has diminished and this place is an example. First of all this is not the 1st time I have encountered rude employees at this location but this is the worst. I ordered their surf and turf combo through drive through which on their drive through menu says it costs $7.00. The teller informed me that just the sandwich-shrimp only were $7.00 but I corrected her by telling her that her menu contradicts that and there is a picture and details of combo. The sandwich and shrimp were listed as $6.00 and combo $7.00. It was actually written what was included. There was a pause and I am not sure if it was same person or a different person came on but they said combo was $9.99. I said I can take a picture and show you and she said â you can take a picture but it wonât make a difference it will be $9.99â. No apologies and did not even honor their own pricing menu. I just told them I am not ordering and will be going somewhere else. She said ok. I do not care about the $2.99. I care about the attitude and honoring your menu. I went somewhere else and spent $13. I will not ever return to this restaurant. I tried to call them to speak to a manager but one number is disconnected and other no one picks up and it prompts you to an odd payment menu. I mean their phone lines do not even work. Ridiculous and unacceptable...
