Mendocino Chocolate Company — Local services in Fort Bragg

Disappointed. Walked in with my wife and the person behind the counter didn't even look up from their laptop to acknowledge us. We asked if they had any pre-packaged boxes of chocolates and the person simply said no without even lifting their eyes. Perhaps they don't like customers?

The place just seemed sad, empty, and deflated. Super poor customer service. Would definitely not recommend. There are way better spots along the street. Try the candy cap mushroom ice cream down the street at Frankie's. Now THAT...

This store is very fancy looking, very high priced and located in an adorable town but you take that away and the chocolate just isn't very good. They over package it to heighten the theory of its fanciness and the staff is not the least bit excited to be there. The quality of the chocolate is significantly lower than most boutique chocolate shops I've been to around the US and other countries and I'd say even lower than some of the better quality grocery store bars. They are just very good at hype...
