Usually a pleasant experience. Managers today were reluctant to open more lines after hearing the Female manager- didnt catch the Name talking with a gentleman saying a couple people were sitting in the back and 2 were on break. The lines were quite long. Also the head manager Mr. C OR SOMETHING like that had tried to explain the verbage on the policy on coupons. For example, every time a certain brand of steaks Stony fork Farms, has a 75 cent coupon from the manufacturer. Additionally, the Commissary had a dollar off coupon. Two separate coupons we ALWAYS utilized both coupons with no issues. The verbage in the sheet he showed me read, doubling of a single coupon wasnt allowed. I understand that and the example of a 50cent coupon then being doubled for a dollar discount. He said the commissary counts the different values coupons as doubling...this is not the same. The coupon didnt have a limit to purchases or per purchase or per customer as it would state if only a certain number per customer would be permitted. After discussing this with MR. C unsuccessfully, I walked out without the purchase. This is not doubling per coupon because there are two separate coupons- one from commissary and one from manufacturer. It didnt say cannot be combined with any other offer either. I understand how this works...been doing it a long time. Someone should enlighten this individual as even the PX does this. Mind blown! He was trying to be polite I guess but it was clear he was being sarcastic. This is poor customer service. This was a simple matter of opinion rather than what is actually permissible or what the policy states and his inability to understand the verbage.. Been doing it for 15 years at...
Read moreLike some previous reviews, the self checkout left much to be desired. Just finished working, went to the commissary for a quick grocery trip. Ready to leave with all of my products, I tried to scan my rewards card - boom, didn’t work. No biggie. The attendant comes to me and looks at my card and says, “You didn’t register it.” I pull out my phone to show the account I created and the fact that I did, actually, register my Deca reward card. She stares at me and shrugs, “Well it looks like you didn’t since it’s not scanning.” Huh? Well ok. I ask her how to scan it. Do I use my physical card or the barcode on my phone? She doesn’t answer. More accurately she turns around and leaves and I’m left standing there looking pretty dumb by myself. I overheard a different associate say something along the lines of “go help her” but she stays at her attendant register and stares at me instead. I leave the self checkout for a little while to try and figure out on my own what’s wrong with my digital coupons. Asked a different staff member. They weren’t sure why my account wasn’t working either. Ended up leaving paying the normal price for everything, still not a big deal, but I’m a bit frustrated with the original associate’s behavior. To be honest it was quite hurtful to ask for help and someone’s reaction is to immediately turn and walk away from you, then proceed to stare at you and talk to other coworkers...
Read moreI came back because after my horrible experience a year ago, we had to shop here for convenience. I bought plastic containers of blue bunny ice cream from here and continually found a slice mark in the tops of them. I never said anything and assumed they came in boxes that were hard to open, and were getting those marks. They didn’t penetrate through, but it made me uncomfortable anyways so I bought Breyers from this commissary, I didn’t look at the sides. And here’s what I got, sliced up sides. I must’ve grabbed it from the other side. Now I’ve fed this to my five year old already and am so worried because box cutters are filthy and can’t imagine what else this would’ve came from. We are officially done buying at this commissary. Also I called customer service about two bags of out of date Cravn pizza rolls in the cheese variety I bought Saturday, they went out of date in July. I spoke to customer service on the phone and sure, they’re returnable but the idea is that I don’t want to spend money at a place like this. Stocking food and not moving the old to the front or checking dates periodically and slicing food inside boxes open- it’s not what I spend my money on. This commissary doesn’t try very hard. I have had quite a bad experience with all this. I don’t plan to return. The commissary on Peterson hasn’t ever given me any of these problems and I’d rather spend the gas then deal with...
