Hellooooooo!?!? The proof is in the pudding at this point. If this establishment has 5 stars, it's for a reason!! Not exaggerating, I went around looking for a place to consistently come to since starting my locs, and meeting Angelica was it for me. The welcoming vibe, the professionalism, the genuine care for the health of your hair regardless of locs or not (don't limit her!), her products, the other stylists there and their kindness, it makes for an amazing experience! Not to mention she has different products you can purchase straight from her salon. I use her hydration spray, but she has retwisting oil, and other products as well! If you're like me, maybe you don't keep up with keeping your hair moisturized as often as you should. I kid you not, every time I get through using her spray, my hair is super hydrated, oily, smells UH-MAZ-ING, and it's like that through the entire day! The next day, it'll still be hydrated and soft and smell great! My hair has also grown and I'm not worried about any breakage, mind you, I have color in my hair. She's super careful about the health of someone's hair and WILL NOT allow you to do something that is going to be detrimental to your scalp, your hair, your confidence lol. She'll give you the "I'm not confident/comfortable about this," type talk and you'll know, "uhoh.... not a good idea." Roots2Royals is more than just somewhere to go for my hair, I would come upset about something and leave feeling 10 times better. This place is really a hidden gem and super slept on. I would recommend anyone with any hair or looking to do their makeup to come here! It's so worth. Not to mention.... B L A C K O...

After my appointment (wash, retwist, repair and style) was completed, I walked out saying to myself "this is a business that really gets it".

First off, the staff (Angelica, Chelsea, Sibyl) are phenomenal and their synergy was flawless. Second, the expertise and the way they performed their craft, makes you realize (quickly) that you made the right decision and you're in great hands.

Aside from the actual hair grooming, it's the knowledge they're willing to share - about how to maintain healthy locs - which is invaluable for your journey.

Equally as impressive, was the dialogue and conversation we had, which was soul nourishing and mentally enriching. And the fact that it was organic, considering this was my first visit and none of us knew each other - it just added a personal touch to the overall experience.

In short, here's how I'd describe Roots2Royals:

Roots2Royals is as good as people...

I had my wedding back in April and I was on the hunt for a natural hair stylist. I found Angelica and her team online and booked a consultation. The warm welcoming feeling on the initial phone call was the main reason I went ahead with the consultation. At the consultation, Angelica helped me find what type of hairstyle I wanted because I had no clue. I also did not have a makeup artist so she directed me in the right direction. Angelica did my hair about 2 days before the wedding and my hair stayed fresh the whole time. I was late for my appointment because I did not know my girls booked a boat ride for my bachelorette party but I kept in contact with Angelica and let her know I was going to be late. When I got to the salon, Angelica still invited me with open arms and took her time with my hair. I actually wore my hair for a week or two after the wedding because it was so nice. The makeup artist Dani was also very friendly and made everyone in the bridal party stunning for the day. I will surely go back to Angelica to get my hair done because she knows what she is doing with...
