Was on my way to get a shake down the street when I saw their place. I'm so happy I stopped in.
I ordered a TLT sandwich (Tempeh Lettuce Tomatoes) and it was delicious. Nice big slab of tempeh, not the small strips you get everywhere else. See pics for portion. Tasty, but you can tell it's fresh. I got the salad as the side, and it was small, but still very good. The vinaigrette dressing was incredible, I ended up using it as a bit of a dip for the sandwiche.
I also ordered the grilled Tofu only, that comes in their Tofu sandwich. I didn't want the 2nd sandwich just wanted the extra protein and they were kind enough to do that for me. The 2 pieces of Tofu were grilled and served in their ginger-tamari sauce which was fabulous.
I didn't order a drink, but they served me a cup of water and paper straw which I really appreciated.
There is seating for about 30 people in here, it's decieving. Nice Environment, music at a perfect level, clean wholesome decor like you'd expect from a healthy vegan spot.
Staff was amazing too. I asked questions about the vinaigrette, and instead of saying "I don't know", he took the time to go ask the chef who came and had a conversation with me.
Will definitely be back to try more items. Wouldn't mind trying that tofu in the actual sandwich, and their breakfast items.
Edit: Came back following day and had banana/chia pancakes - 10/10, moist, delicious, perfect consistency.
Also ordered raisin/apple oatmeal bowl. I should have eaten this before my pancakes as you can imagine what the pancakes did to my taste buds. However the oatmeal consistency was perfect and it was a big bowl full.
Edit#2 - came back a 3rd and 4th time. I couldn't get enough of this place while I stayed in Lauderdale by the Sea.
Tofu sandwich has monstrous flavor and perfect consistency. Bread was perfectly toasted.
French toast was unreal, even better than the real thing. Didint taste greasy or saturated. Just amazing.
My only criticism for this place, is that I wish they had oat milk or coconut milk as an alternative, not just...
Read moreI have eaten at this establishment a few times before and the food was decent. This past week I had a crazy experience which made me reach out to the owner and unfortunately I never received a response so I am now posting here to warn others. On Monday I called the restaurant at 3 o’clock to place a very simple pick up order for a hummus and falafel wrap, I was running late on my way to work and figured this would be the quickest healthy vegan option I had. The man I spoke to told me it would be ready in 15 minutes, perfect! I arrived about 35 minutes later and was told my food wasn’t ready yet. I told him that I couldn’t wait as I was running late to work and it was more than double the time I was quoted. The guy looked behind him and saw a box and told me it was actually mine. I thought it was a bit odd but was happy to have food to eat so I paid for it and left. When he rang me up it says chickpea wrap which I just assumed was another name for the hummus wrap (since hummus is made of chickpeas) When I opened the box to eat my lunch it was the wrong order. I tried it and did not like it at all, it was chickpeas in some sort of dressing in a wrap. I called the restaurant back and after about 15 minutes the same guy picked up the phone. I told him I received the wrong order and his response was that it was my fault and said I had an attitude. I was completely shocked I was being spoken to in this manner! I asked him for a refund and he refused. He told me to come back and I told him I get off of work at midnight so unless he could wait until then I wouldn’t be able to. He refused to give me his name after I asked multiple times. Clearly this person is in the wrong industry and giving the restaurant a horrible name. I’m hoping the owner sees this and fixes the problem. I have still been charged to this day for the wrong food which I didn’t eat and then was harassed about it told it was my fault. Completely...
Read moreWhile way overpriced, the service, atmosphere, and quality of food is bar none. They are unmatched, unparalleled with the feeling of white glove, 5 star VIP service because they’re never really all that busy. Please locals of Fort Lauderdale, let’s come together to support their doors remaining open for years to come!! I wouldn’t normally frequent this place because no matter how successful I am, I can’t justify $40 for a vegan Lumberjack meal, coffee & a kombucha… I will keep coming back as they’re the closest vegan spot in walking distance from where I live and my offices are. The nice people that work here and the quality of the food make it worth every penny! Also, they have great specials I never seem to be there for… Lots of 2-for-1 deals and such that make it the best bang for your buck. PS is definitely a worthy try so stop by! Please support the best local restaurants like this so we may all keep enjoying their food you can definitely tell is always made with love for years to come! I love you guys, PS!
