2025 Review: Where has Dr. Stanton gone?
If youâre looking for a experienced dentist and nothing more, then read no further. He is good at dentistry. However, if youâre looking for a dentist who has good people skills, too, I can no longer recommend Dr. Stanton. You see, I started with Dr. Stanton back around 2014 when he had a little, off-street, hole-in-the-wall office that was so small you could fit it into the waiting room of his current office. What was amazing back then was this tiny office was fun, and I liked going there, something I had never said before about an oral house of pain. His wife worked there and they were happy, all the office staff were happy, and the patients were happy, too. It was as if they were pumping laughing gas in through the air ducts, and I never failed to walk out of there with a smile. Sadly, I no longer find that to be the case. And, for the prices he charges, the least he could do is be nice, because nice is nice, and not nice is not nice. So, if youâre looking for an older, experienced dentist who no longer prioritizes his chair-side manners, then youâve come to the right place. Otherwise, keep looking.
2023 Review: Dr. Stanton stands by his work. Recently, one of my crowns which he made in 2015, came lose. Dr. Stanton not only reattached the crown, he did not charge me for doing so. Even though this was a no-fault situation where the bond compound just happened to weaken over 8 years, it would not have been unreasonable for him to have charged me for his time and effort, but he didn't. I find this to be one of his many admirable qualities.
2022 Review: Iâm an idiot. A few days ago, I decided to use my teeth as a pair of pliers. And guess what? I popped a tooth out. Now, I donât have a lot of money. I live in a 2-1 in a blue-collar neighborhood and drive a 5-year old Civic. By all rights, I probably should have shopped around for a less-expensive dentist. And they would have been good. But they would not have been great. And Dr. Stanton is great. Heâs even got these whirly-twirly milling machines right outside of the exam rooms where he makes you a new tooth while you wait. No need to do a mail order from overseas that takes who knows how long to get here these days. So, one and a half hours after I walked into his office, I walked out with a new tooth in my head. And he even uses these super-fast cements/epoxies so that after he was done, he said, âThere are no special instructions. You can eat and drink anything you like. Do whatever you like.... as long as you use it as a tooth and not a pair of pliers.â So, for my money, itâs Dr. Stanton....
Read moreAll right so, today was my third visit to the office. The first time I went for an initial consultation. I recently moved from Georgia and had the same dentist for almost 25 years. I walk into Dr. Stanton's office and I have to say that right off the back I was not impressed. He visited me and appeared "unhappy" with my mouth and what he found. Figure a comic book with the little clouds representing the character's thoughts: "when was the last time this person saw a dentist". Thankfully I never judge on a first account. He told me what needed to be done, didn't spend more than 5/7 minutes with me and went back to what he was doing. I felt disregarded and didn't really like him, and he was extremely serious and not friendly at all. I get the treatment plan (I was in shock at what needed to be done) and make an appointment for my cleaning. Go back the following week for my cleaning with Marcos: AWESOME hygienist, very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank God I take care of my teeth! Proceed to make the appointment for what needs to be done for several reasons: the cost and the time in which everything will be done. I have had crowns done in the past and have always had dental insurance. The cost I was going to pay was well worth the job I was getting done. I had 3 crowns done in one time and a filling. Next time it is only 2 fillings and a dental guard. Today the doctor was more friendly, or at least he smiled and seemed to enjoy himself. It was the end of the day so I would have understood if he had not been friendly, but he was. I guess the first time he was either in a bad mood, or maybe he is the type of person that needs to "warm up" to you before actually being nice. So I am glad I did not write this review after my first time. It would have not been like this one. The only negative is having to pretty much pay all upfront. I understood having to pay a "down payment" (50%) when booking the first appointment for a treatment plan, but I don't understand why I need to pay the balance before the job is finished. This is why I gave them 4 stars. I don't think this is the correct way to do business and some people might be turned off by it. Something...
Read moreDentist Stanton was a huge disappointment. He provides sub-standard and dysfunctional treatments for an exorbitant price and fees. Dentist Stanton refuses to do small maintenance jobs, such as cavities fillings , he only recommends unnecessary re-construction and replacements. No preservation effort. His original treatment plan involved 9 unnecessary extractions and 5 implants for a cost of only $40,000. He is only after your money. Although I disagreed with his main recommendation , I decided to treat 2 teeth that were given me a problem with chewing and food sticking in between. Payment in full was requested and provided before work started,. although no full description of the job was provided before, during or after. Looking back, if he would've disclosed the resulted of an even bigger gap to an adjoining tooth, I would not do the job. As a result of Dentist Stanton poor and dysfunctional execution, I verify the issue with 2 other professional dentists and they agreed on poor job provided. When confronted , dentist Stanton acknowledged no other responsibility and refuse to fix the issue, in addition , same day, he send me an official notice of termination of any further treatment or services to me, including a later occurring very painful TMD condition caused by his negligence to doe a bite balancing after the procedure...took my money and run. so vindictive, no shame!!! Dentist Stanton is a mechanical dentist that lock basic skills of imagination, creativity and aesthetic executions. In conclusion , if you want to be his client, you do that at your own risk... Consider looking elsewhere for a professional dental work alternative. This dentist...
