Florida Luxury Rentals — Local services in Fort Lauderdale

My husband and I have rented many properties while vacationing and we have never been as impressed as we were with Julia and Igor. The house we chose was beautiful with a perfect location for us. However, when we arrived we realized there were a couple of issues.

First of all the tv in the master bedroom wasn't working. I emailed Julia and received a prompt response asking me when I would like the property manager (Igor) to stop by. He arrived at the exact time I specified with a smile and professional manner. It took him a while to figure out the problem, but he persevered until he had it set for us.

I had also mentioned having trouble finding any beach towels or hair dryers and Igor showed up with 7 brand new beautiful towels and 2 brand new dryers for us.

A few days into our stay we decided we wanted to turn the pool heater on, but weren't sure how to proceed. A text to Igor had him showing up within an hour to turn it on for us. Again, with a smile and a wonderful positive attitude saying we were not a bother at all.

Upon leaving the house, we realized we left behind my granddaughter's monogrammed baby blanket. Again, I emailed Julia asking if she could mail it to us and let me know how much I owed for postage. She responded saying it was no problem and they would be happy to take care of it for us.

A few days after we arrived home I received the package with the baby blanket carefully folded and inside a plastic zipped container. When we opening the blanket two small security blankets were also included. I hadn't mentioned those as I could have replaced those easier than the monogrammed blanket, yet Igor must have found them and included them. They also paid for the shipping ($15+) and told me not to worry about it.

The house we rented was also listed on VRBO, but we chose Florida Luxury Rentals because the price was a little lower. We were happy we did because Julia and Igor took care of any and all concerns and issues we had while we were there and also after we left.

2829 NE 24th Place, Fort Lauderdale, FL at $800/night was a large ( 6 bedrooms) but not luxurious house!! We had to purchase small kitchen appliances, basic kitchen utensils, clothing hangers and a standing clothes rack for a bedroom which had a locked closet. On arrival we discovered that a poolside refrigerator and indoor bar ice maker and refrigerator were inoperable. We were told that the owner was not going to replace the outdoor refrigerator but would replace the indoor appliances-never happened!! Indoor furniture was sparse with no comfortable armchairs, and no chairs in guest bedrooms. In mid-February against our objection two chests were removed from the living room and dining room. We were told by FL Luxury Rentals that replacement furniture would be forthcoming-never happened!! In March a man unlocked the front door, entered and announced that he was “one of the owners” and had come to remove items from 3 locked closets and the garage and proceeded to do so!! FL L.L. had not informed us of such a “visit”!! The pool and spa heater did not function for more than a week. Although we had paid for weekly cleaning and laundry and left one day before required ($800), we were charged $750 for cleaning and $178 for a torn curtain in a bedroom that was used once in 3 months.

I normally don’t leave reviews but because this vacation really stood out I decided to share my experience with others . We booked our stay through company website and traveled from Eastern Europe with family . Obviously we were worried if house would match the description. Julia sent us welcome letter with instructions and because our flight was late at night we could use self check in by using key code . To find out that house matched 100% , smelled amazing and was sparkling clean was a relief . Next day company manager stopped by to follow up with everything and showed us how to use grill . Also he showed us the Uber eats app which is amazing and gave neighborhood restaurant recommendations ! We rented a boat to explore the area which we dock right at the house . House was 15 min walk from the beach but it’s still pretty challenging to get there with kid in a hot weather , we would recommend to rent a car or use Uber .
