The European Market — Local services in Fort Lauderdale

I’ve been to The European Market on Cordova Rd several times now, and found it to be consistently well-stocked with an excellent variety of interesting and delicious international goods, which remind me quite pleasantly of my travels in Europe. I don’t know where to begin, as the selection is so impressive for a small establishment, and Ive only sampled a tiny amount of what they offer in my handful of visits. But So far, I haven’t gotten a single thing from this store which I haven’t enjoyed thoroughly. The freshly cooked chicken cordon bleu is delicious, as is the selection of cured bacons, sausages, and other meats. The bakery desserts are great, and the beverage selection is impressive too. This place is an absolute health hazard. They are selling expired products, some with expiration dates going back to last year — completely unacceptable and dangerous. This needs to be reported to the health department immediately.

Not only are the items overpriced, but when I calmly informed the owner about the expired goods, she laughed in my face and mocked me. Completely unprofessional and insulting.

To make matters worse, she refused to slice deli meat, claiming they “don’t slice it,” yet the reasoning felt blatantly racist and discriminatory.
