My family & I are from Upstate New York and we frequent South Florida every 3-4 months. A few years back, we stumbled upon Zona Fresca, and shortly there after, the Fort Lauderdale (SE 17th Street) location. Ever since, this location has become our family favorite. Like I said, we live out of state, so our trips are every 3-4 months apart, and every time, without fail - the staff remembers my family & I, and welcomes us with smiling faces, and open arms. The location is always meticulously maintained, cleaned topped to bottom, the staff is always PHENOMENAL, friendly, smiling, welcoming, happy. And the food, oh I could rant and rave all day about how perfectly cooked their food is, every single time, without fail. Especially, the steak. Mouth watering.
Again, Zona Fresca is a family favorite overall - but the Fort Lauderdale location is our go to spot when traveling in from New York!
Thank you to the staff at Zona Fresca of Fort Lauderdale! Until...
Read moreI've been eating at Zona Fresca in Ft Lauderdale for years, and it's time to show my appreciation by leaving this review. Zona Fresca is not fast food, it's good food fast. The Ft. Lauderdale location provides a convenient, clean, lively, festive environment, the food is consistently amazing, and it's reasonably priced. Chips are always included with your meal, and the unlimited salsa bar is unparalleled compared to other restaurants I've visited - try the spicy pickled carrots. What really makes this place special, besides the food of course, is the Manager Gaby and her amazing team. They greet every customer with a big smile and a genuine, friendly welcome. The warm, hospitable feeling that Gaby and her crew project to their customers is absolutely contagious! You'll leave with a full belly and happy heart. Thank you Gaby, crew and Zona Fresca for making my...
Read moreThis place is soo good! The chips are thin and crispy. The beans are vegetarian, and the salsa bar is amazing, clean, and fresh. We eat here all the time. It's really convenient for us because it's walking distance from our marina (F3) and it's right by the best Chinese food within a 100-mile radius, so when us and the kids can't agree on one place to eat we go here and eat outside and then some of us get Mexican and some of us get Chinese. I stopped here to grab just a pop on a hot day on my way to the marina once, and my debit card wasn't working for some reason, and she just gave it to me. I tried to tell her no, but she was very kind and let me fill a cup anyway. Kindness in Ft. Lauderdale is few and far between. I know this because we are from Michigan, where most people are friendly, so you notice right away that the people just aren't as friendly...
