I have been drinking Natalie's Orange Juice for around the last 20 years. Hands down, they are by far the best tasting Orange Juice you can buy aside from freshly squeezed unpasteurized juice. I even try to educate my friends about how those other store brands ALWAYS taste the same. Most "premium" well known brands super heat their juices (pasteurization) which takes all the delicious flavor out of the juice and then they add flavor packets back into the juice. Each company has their own unique flavor packet (this is why each brands juice always tastes the same). When you drink Natalies juice you will always have some variation in taste based on time of year, type of orange that was used, etc. Next time you go to the store (Publix) look at the color of Natalies Orange Juice compared to the "yellowish orange" of all the major well known brands. You will see that Natalies is actually "orange" colored. Publix often has their juice on sale, currently $4.00 for a half gallon. So go get that juice before 2/1 when the price goes back to $7.19 for a half gallon which is definitely on the high side, but still worth it compared to all the other fake juices out there. All the major brands "half gallon" is now only 52oz. Natalies is still a true 64oz. Also, notice the expiration dates, many major brands will have dates that can be as much as 3 months out into the future. Natalies typically is 14-21 days, because they don't do the full pasteurization that other companies do. I read some of the negative reviews and over the years, yes, it has happened to me once in a blue moon where I will buy a jug of juice that is bad or spoiled. I take it back to the store and get a refund. This can happen when you are buying truly "fresh" juice. I am lucky that I live in Orlando (within a couple hours) of where Natalies is located so I assume my delicious juice is hitting my grocery shelf quickly. I am guessing my location also helps keep the cost down compared to trying to buy their juice someplace far away. So, the purpose of my review is to help combat some of those negative reviews and because I truly believe that Natalies is that delicious. I wish my local Publix carried more varieties! Thank you Natalies! P.S. About 15 years ago, I actually sent an email to your company praising how good your juice was and you all sent me a Natalies T Shirt - it was one of my favorite shirts for many years until I finally had to retire it. I never had the chance to say thank you, so...
ย ย ย Read moreJust SAD. My Aunt worked there like 8 years ago in Ft. Pierce. I stayed with her at that time and every Friday they would provide a gallon to their workers! I thought to myself what an awesome company and fell in love with the weekly routine of drinking the freshest juice ever with her! I jokingly dubbed it "Jesus Juice" because it was sooooo good and they had the little Christian fish symbol and maybe a little slogan on the front of the bottle. I'm not religious like that but nontheless it was fitting that THIS is what their belief was and MAYBE it was that mindset that made an awesome company that stood out from all the rest of O.J. I've ever tasted. I went on through the years a believer in this company and can only imagine what new belivers it may bring to not only the juice but to religion. Then, I heard people were complaining about the fish or whatever and noticed thefish was now small print on the back. I'm not sure if it is on there anymore because about a year ago I stopped buying it after multiple times buying throughout time, it would still have a month until the expiration date it would be smelling like alcohol and / or bitter! Nasty stuff. It's costs way to much to be rolling the dice all the time to see IF this time maybe it's just okay. Really sad. Y'all need to put Jesus back on or in the juice! Seriously. If that is your belief then wear it proudly and for heaven's sake dial back expiration date so people get somewhat fresh juice! Because if someone spends that kind of money and that is their first experience your loosing new customers and old ones. Stop settling for new ways and...
ย ย ย Read moreThis company is very impressive. There's a lot of bad things the OJ industry does to OJ but luckily this company understands how to produce OJ in a healthy way. I have been using their products for years. If for some reason, you try it and it's not perfect, it may be because where the store you bought it didn't keep it at the right temp or for other reasons out of Natalie's control. I contacted them about a bottle that wasn't up to their normal standards and their response was swift and thorough and like nothing I have ever encountered in my life from any company anywhere.
OJ is a super healthy drink and has a lower glycemic index than cereals, wheat, poridges, potatoes, brown rice, pumpkin and many more. Source is Harvard Health website of glycemic index. Also OJ contains naringin a citrus flavonoid that is protective against oxidative stress and many other things. Just google 'Protective Effects of Citrus Flavanoid Naringenin' and see what comes up.
Since the county where I live needlessly ripped out our Orange tree years ago for canker (the wealthier neighborhoods put a stop to it before their trees were ripped out and people sued the county) I refuse to buy OJ that is produced without extreme attention to quality. I pay more for OJ than even milk but it's worth it for the benefits and for it to be made with ripe oranges. That is very important to not losing the health benefits. Anyways, as long as this company pays such attention to their product AND customer service like they do, I will always...
