The woman at the door doing the seating was the rudest person this is my first time here and when I asked why someone was sat before my family she called us in and said here you go to a table that was unfinished with the rudest attitude I said to her that she should not have spoke to me and my family like that and she said if I don’t like how she runs her door I can leave.. I went and sat at my table and she came back to my table and started yelling over the table saying again if I don’t like how she runs her door we can leave I told her not to speak over the table.. I understand it was early and there was a rush I asked a simple question and she handled it very bad.. the whole experience at the restaurant was horrible.
I read the response to my review and first of all I not once complained about the wait time.. I said I asked the lady at the door why she let someone who had the same number of party go before us and the lady at the door said she didn’t make that decision the woman doing the seating said to let them in. When we were seating the woman threw the table at us.. she put 2 chairs at the table and said here u go.. I not once rushed her I asked a question.. and it seem that instead of making the situation right the restaurant comes on here and bash me and my family.. and for your information we did leave a tip the waitress came back to the table with the change and I told her that she can keep the change.. also we didn’t order a smoothie so that shows me right there that you examined the wrong table.. so your whole response was not about me or my family.. I just thought I had to come here and correct you since all the research you did was not on my family.. and don’t worry we won’t come back because when everyone sees the 100s of reviews and how you handled my one.. they will know what kind of...
Read moreHello folks, I would like to welcome you to the great city of Fort Pierce my hometown. Yesterday was my 46 Birthday 1/13 and I want to give you my honest review on the restaurant that my good ole Elementary/Middle school and childhood friend Dwight Jones brought me too for my birthday. The restaurant is called Sunrise City Cafe in downtown Fort Pierce.
When entering you will be greeted immediately ✅ Our waitress sat us down and took our drink orders. We all had waters and I had a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Hot Coffee✅ Right after our drinks arrived she took our food order. I ordered this Slam breakfast 🤔 2pc bacon, (crispy) they asked how you wanted cooked. 2 eggs over well, sourdough toast, grits (THE BEST I EVER EVER EVER EATEN IN MY 46yrs OF LIVING) with parmesan cheese on top, and 2 pancakes. The food came out very quick i must say. (Like 10mins tops) Very little cafe but with a big atmosphere. Very busy place and the service is fast and the waitresses are pleasant and friendly. Tables a little small especially when you have 4 people and multiple plates and drinks that cover the amount of table space. We managed it though. Overall rating: 10/10 must recommend AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN. The food was phenomenal. Very delicious and well prepared. This was my first time here and definitely won’t be my last. Order out, Dine in & Delivery available. Y’all don’t SLEEP on this restaurant like I did. If you do well, you gonna miss out on some good ole southern hospitality cooking. Oh before I forget get. My girlfriend ordered the meat lovers omelette them same good grits and some sausage gravy. That sausage gravy was outstanding delicious. WHAT A WAY TO START MY BIRTHDAY WITH A GOOD OLE FORT PIERCE SUNRISE CAFE...
Read moreBest dining out experience I’ve had since the pandemic. Impeccable food, service and ambiance. Loved everything about it. It’s our first day visiting Ft. Pierce and the experience at Sunrise City Cafe has definitely positively influenced our feelings about this picturesque city. Every server/staff member was friendly, respectfully courteous and readily available without being intrusive. And there were plenty of staff! Even the other patrons were very friendly.
We were greeted the second we walked in and seated immediately at a clean, fully prepared table. (Within minutes, every table was filled and the comfortable waiting area with seats was filled). We had three coffe drinks - my husband had a regular brewed coffee and I had a Cuban coffee drink followed by an iced coffee. All were delicious. We shared a half-order of biscuits and gravy which were some of the best have ever had (and I grew up in Tennessee) and the shrimp avocado eggs benedict with the side of grits - perfection! The menu is extensive with so many types of dishes, and organized so as to not be overwhelming and easy to read.
We learned that the cafe is owned by a woman named Nicole. My husband sought her out as we were leaving to tell her how much we enjoyed our experience at Sunrise City, and also told her that his wife (me!) said that the reason the cafe is so fabulous is because a woman is running it! Seamless service and attention to detail generates a vibe of welcoming hospitality. That feels rare these days.
We are staying in Ft. Pierce for four days and will definitely be back to enjoy some of the other choices for breakfast and lunch and this delightful dining out opportunity.
Thanks to Nicole and her...
