You think you're getting good deals, but a 10% inconvenience fee is added at checkout. Plus state sales tax. This is a neat little grocery store though. If they could get some good workers to work here it would be better. The deli crew must have escaped from a local penitentiary or something because they are suspicious as can be and move at the speed of smell to prepare your order. This may be off the subject but speaking of smells-the deli workers smell like some creature from underneath Santa Montica Pier. Hmm... anyways, moving on. Be prepared to wait behind a line of 10+ people at checkout. Locals flock here like they give away free drugs. Don't be surprised if you have to step over a few needles, tampons or used condoms when you get out of your vehicle. You might get a stray diaper hung up on your cart wheel as you shop the store. There are some dirty looking places. Especially around that deli. Maybe just avoid the deli. As for the products in the store go however- The meat selection was pretty good. The produce was fresh and vibrant. The selection of snacks was abundant. Deli made foods looked edible. I was surprised at the vast selection of frozen seafood, like crab legs, lobster tails, octopus and even wild caught shrimp! Lots of frozen dinners but that's just for the local plebeians and two legged lard wagons that don't work and leach off of the government. All in all, it's a neat grocery store with ample supplies. Good for a quick stop to get necessities. The people and locals are what makes it seem like you've teleported to the ghettos of Detroit. I'm sure you'll survive your shopping trip as long as you don't make eye contact.

As a dedicated customer, one who truly appreciates fine food & good folk, the Staff at G&W are more like family. I have known Brian, the manager, for 20 years. No one there is a stranger.. I find dependable quality in all departments. The deli has a variety of cuisine worthy of restaurant status, the Butchers select and package every morn for the choicest of cuts, the produce is first off the truck, farm fresh. Every aisle contains bargain products. The ads have great values, I find some of my fav foods that no competitor carries, and merchandise is always plentiful in stock. Shop and support area retail. Allow your hard earned dollars to remain within the local economy. And eat well..!! These are some of the dishes I have prepared… PTL.. JIMM…

Staff (except for the very few) are always absolutely amazing, prices are great, but I am seriously baffled by the fact that you can not roll quarters or pay for dinner with quarters or even sell your quarters to this store when you need to buy your babies dinner and that's all you have. The management has this rule and to top it off they have no change machine to try and get it changed for a fee. Thank God that I have a vehicle so I could go somewhere else what if I wasn't so lucky and I had to walk to another grocery store because you can't let your babies...
