So I don’t typically leave reviews even if I have horrible experiences but I was incredibly eager to order from them for my 2nd time. My first time ordering, I went in to just place an order at the counter for pickup. I specifically stated that I was allergic to red sauce and could not have it and to replace the red sauce on my burrito with queso. Came back 25 minutes later, grabbed my food, and left. When I got home I opened my container to find that there wasn’t even a small or regular amount of red sauce but that my ENTIRE container had red sauce spread throughout my food because everything was so liquidy. Went storming back in, had them remake it and figured I’d just not eat there for some time out of concern.
Fast forward a year and we’re looking for something to eat. Mi Ranchito is the move. I ordered the Fajita Chimichanga, substitute chile sauce with queso. I trust this process, it’ll be fine. I wait 25 minutes and go pick up the food. Didn’t bother to check, cause what could go wrong? Got home, opened my bag, and what do I see ? Chile sauce. Everywhere. On my chimichanga, MIXED with queso, in my refried beans (which didn’t have any flavor whatsoever), and in my rice (which was also so INCREDIBLY dry that had I eaten it with a slightly dry mouth and nothing to drink, I would’ve definitely choked). Obviously, I was fuming. I almost chose not to go back solely out of annoyance but ended up going anyway because I was hungry. Spoke to a wonderful lady at the bar (Clarisse?) who went and had them fix my order. When I got back home my mom said that her burrito had a slimy texture on the outside even though it shouldn’t have and her rice and beans were also flavorless and dry as hell. Overall, we’ve both said we will not be going back because we don’t trust the food there. And my biggest question is why were my modifications ignored both times, a year apart? This is unacceptable for people such as myself. Personally, I would say the customer service was pretty good, and the food isn’t BAD, but I also will never be recommending this place to anybody because I would hate for someone to end up in...
Read moreSo, last night my husband and I went out for our anniversary and thought we would check out MI Ranchito. I've eaten there once before when they first opened and got the cream cheese chicken enchiladas which were good but the cornbread stuff that I don't know the name of was phenomenal and I was looking forward to getting that! My husband hadnt had it at all. Anyway, it was fairly busy for 7:00 pm but there were plenty of open tables and it looked like a lot of servers so we went in. We were seated quickly and given menus and chips by a nice waitress at 7:05 and then... nothing. No server approached us again. We waited and at 7:23 agreed that if we weren't approached by 7:35 we would just leave. A few minutes later a couple that everyone greeted like they knew was seated directly beside us and then immediately waited on. We left then. The manager told us to have a good night as we left. So we did. Anyway, I get that restaurants get busy and I have the utmost respect for the service industry but it was a big bummer. I think their food is good from what I've had in the past. The...
Read moreMy husband & I had ofcourse heard about this new Mexican restaurant opening in town.. & like everyone else- looked forward to trying it out just out of curiosity of it being new. My food was good (Fajitas).. but certainly no better than the other two Mexican restaurants in town as a couple of comments have said. As a matter of fact we both decided which one now is definitely our favorite out of the three & no this one is not it. My husband had the cream cheese Enchiladas with the cheese sauce poured over them (or at least that's how the pic showed).. he said it was very dry like the sauce was dried into the Enchiladas like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. I noticed he had not finished his food & he said he was just full- but later it was revealed that it was just too dry & he could not finish it. So no the hype exceeds the reality. Also we've never had one bad experience at the other two restaurants- which we frequently go back & forth to at least once or...
