Leading up to our stay, I called many hotels to look for accessible rooms for both my coworker and I who are wheelchair users. When I called the Sleep inn in Fort Scott, They were very kind and helpful in getting me the information I needed to see if the rooms would be accessible to us, initially they were not accessible because of the bed height. But their response was finding out what the needs were and how they could ensure their "accessible" rooms were truly accessible in the future. They worked swiftly and diligently to prepare the rooms for our stay, They were open to learn and took action with the information we provided to take the beds off the frames so that we could stay in the short notice that we needed to, and let me know at check-out that they already ordered shorter bed frames so that in the future the beds in those rooms could be fully supported at the accessible height. Sadly, this enthusiasm, care, and support from hotel staff when it comes to inaccessibility is not typical in hotels that I have called or stayed with in the past, So this experience really made an impact! This team went above and beyond to ensure that not only could we have a successful stay this time but also so in the future they will be accessible for all people. I plan on telling everyone I know that if they ever go to Fort Scott, The sleep inn and suites is the...
Read moreThis hotel exceeded all our expectations. The staff were extremely friendly and cared about our stay there. Ashley & Jodi were the best ever! There hospitality was the best I've ever experienced, and I've travelled a lot as prior military and 30 years total working with the Army so I have a wide variety of experiences with hotels. This hotel and all of their staff went above and beyond to make our 5 night stay the best experience ever. The lady that runs the breakfast was so kind and delightful during breakfast hours. When they say full breakfast; they mean it because they had something for everyone. It was always clean & plentiful no matter what time you went during breakfast hours. We also have two small pets and we're traveling with my husband'a parents. We asked for connecting rooms and they were able to accommodate. We also had our two small shih txus that are like our children and they were very accommodating to pets in fact they had an outside area designated to walk them all set up with a special trash can and poop bags; now that was very impressive. The hotel was very clean, staff very attentive but not overbearing and we felt very safe there. Highly recommend this hotel! It exceeded ALL of our...
Read moreI booked our hotel over the phone and I explained the reason we were traveling to Kansas. I requested our rooms to be grouped together. The 2 other people I was meeting were also from out of state Wisconsin and Texas and that we were meeting in Kansas for "Spidermania". I explained it would be the first time we would be meeting after all of us being Facebook friends for 3 plus years, and all of us being primate parents. Not only did they accommodate an early check in time, we found a picture frame and a card from Jimmy to keep a picture of our first meeting! This was by far the best experience I have ever had staying in a hotel. The fact that Jimmy went out his way to leave that very special gift for us made an incredible impact. The 3rd annual Spidermania Picnic, if held in Kansas again (which I bet it will be) we will definitely be staying at the Sleep Inn again. Also side note, the breakfast was amazing, the bathroom was awesome, loved the shower! The staff was beyond nice and courteous and professional and warm and personable. Water pressure was great, I really liked the toiletries they provided. If you decide to stay here you will...
