Michaels — Local services in Fort Wayne

Custom Framing is a joke. Made an order on 12/17, was told via email to bring artwork to store. Automatically did so. When I went to the store, my order wasn’t in the system, but was told to leave the print there and they would take care of it. Still never received any emails at this point, or verification the project was found and being worked on, OR a timeline for the project. Had to call in to get an update at this point, and even then was told that she didn’t really know much about it but it was in fact in the system at this point. Didn’t hear anything for another 2 weeks. (Granted it was the holidays). No emails, calls, etc. Called in again today (12/31). Had to call 3 times because I was hung up on the first 2. They said all of the parts happen to be there, but they would not be doing production today because of the holiday, again, totally understandable. I just have a hard time believing the parts just happened to come in today when production wouldn’t be taking place. I was then told it should be done by tomorrow or the next day, but she was unsure. We went in with questions regarding shipping with their location. We waited in line and VERY BRIEFLY interacted with an older lady named Susan. She didn’t greet us or ask us how she could help us, instead told us she couldn’t help us unless our package was “put together and sealed.” She walked away immediately and we assumed she was going to get a resource or directions for us to properly proceed with our package. We were surprised when we realized she had walked away without the intention of helping us or answering our questions at all. In customer service, I would assume their job is to assist customers on their needs and/or educate us on proper procedures. We felt very dismissed and ignored. Michaels is great for people with big budgets. You can get things there you can't get anywhere else like the special glue that use to put on girl scout and boy scout badges, which is absolutely fabulous for repairing car seats.

Right next door is Dollar tree if you're on a budget check there first they don't have a lot of craft and school stuff but what they do have is unbelievably well priced.
