THE WORST BUSINESS EVER!!!
THE GUY WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE HUNG UP ON ME THE FIRST TIME, as I was trying to order. I called back and asked what happened. He said, "I couldn't hear you." (Yeh, right but ok). I attempted to place my order for a second time. While trying to order enchiladas, I said to him that I don't want the beans and cheese- I want to swap it for something else. The guy goes "I have alot of people waiting. Do you want the order or not?" EXCUSE ME!? I didn't say I didn't want to order. But he clearly didn't care if I ordered anything or not. Plus his entire vibe and his tone over the phone (there was no greeting or anything; just mumbling) was negative. I told him to cancel the order and that, his business wasn't worth this negativity. And I'm sure he gladly hung up too.
I've never been to this business. After dealing with that guy, I WILL NOT STEP FOOT IN THAT BUSINESS! HE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. The worst phone ordering experience EVER!!!!!
Location of incident: 10460 Maysville Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835
According to a reliable source, it was the assistant manager named Miguel who answered the phone. If he did conduct himself in this way, then it makes the entire establishment look shameful. A supervisor -assistant manager - the manager.... All of these people represent the face of the business. Their code of conduct must be that of the highest standard. For an assistant manager to behave rudely over the phone (I was told that he talks rudely to other people as well), it doesn't have a place in customer service and, it poisons the morale of the other employees who work under him.
To the owner of this restaurant: please put an end to this negativity immediately! Retrain your staff on the importance of customer service. Every customer (not just Spanish speakers) deserves to be treated with respect - both in person and over the phone. Miguel is not above anyone. I was disgusted that I walked out and went to an authentic-American business -- Cracker Barrel - where I received much...
Read moreMy family and I use to frequent this location weekly. Unfortunately the food presentation, quality and one peticular waiter have made the Maysville Rd location very undesirable.
For example, the chicken often has gristle in it anymore. Also, presentation of the food on the plate looks very unappetizing. Browning lettuce and tomatoes sloppily tossed on your plate like you'd expect from a jailhouse. If that's not bad enough, our meals are often missing key ingredients, like seasonings, guacamole or beans and hardly any of the servers come back to see if the food is OK, so you're just stuck eating what's given to you.
The last straw is one peticular waiter that we get time to time that has been a thorn in Agaves side for some time. This tall, smug, middle-aged man will rarely return to your table except to take your money 15 minute after you've finished your meal. And don't expect to see him again for 10 to 15 minutes after you've given him your money. Your best bet for an enjoyable evening is to leave immediately if you see a man named Miguel walk toward your table. On a lighter note, Agaves on Coldwater is still great! If you're craving Agaves, it's WELL worth the...
Read moreFood was good, service pretty decent for as crowded as they were. I arrived before my friend did, was told I could leave a name; the next 2-person table that came up I'd be seated. The host seated at least 3 other couples next! When I asked about it, I was told (quote) "oh my bad, I didn't put your name down." By then, my friend arrived and we still waited another 20 mins for a table because of this. Also, apparently it was screaming toddler night at Agave. One child literally ran up and down the corridor between tables as people ate, tripping up patrons and waitstaff. I know everyone is touchy about these things now, but management MUST have the backbone to step in on cases like this. What if a waiter had been tripped and dumped a platter of scalding food on the kid or a diner? For safety's sake, someone needed to do something and they never did. Oh and did I mention the guy walking around making balloon animals for people? This has what to do with fajitas and salsa? I thought people went here to eat great Mexican food and have a drink or two. We'll go back, but if we have another night like this it'll be worth the longer drive to go to Dos...
