Lectro Tronic Cellular Repair — Local services in Fort Worth

Beware!!! In November 2019 my cell phone was not working right. I took it to Lectro Tronic Cellular Repair. They checked my phone out and said they couldn’t repair it. They sold me a phone identical to the one I took to them for repair. I recently upgraded to a newer model phone so on 4-20-20 I passed the phone I got from Lectro Tronic Cellular Repair to another person. The person I passed my previous phone to went to activate it with their provider and couldn’t because the phone was locked to AT&T. I then contacted AT&T the carrier provider to see about getting it unlocked. I explained to them I bought the phone out right therefore it shouldn’t be locked. After looking into it AT&T said they would not be able to unlock it because it had outstanding assignments (basically money owed to them from a previous owner). AT&T then asks where I purchased the phone and then suggested I take it back to them. I then contacted Lectro Tronic and explained the situation. They looked it up when they sold me the phone. Then I was told by Lectro Tronic that phone should only be used with AT&T. I told them nothing like that was disclosed to me when I bought it from them and I paid for the phone and bought it out right from them therefore it shouldn’t have any lock. Lectro Tronic knew when they sold me that phone it was not a free and clear phone. Basically that phone is still property of AT&T until the previous assignments are paid from a previous owner. Lectro Tronic then told me they could unlock it for $120. Very crooked and dishonest!!! To sum it up! Lectro Tronic knowingly buys, sells & trades in some cell phones in which are property of other providers or perhaps stolen. Stay Clear! I wonder if the police or FCC would be...

I am leaving this review not based on help with a product, but based on the employee/owner being a honest person. My husband and daughter took her iPad (with, bless our hearts, what we thought was a cracked screen) in to have the screen repaired. The gentleman could have said OK, that will be $100, come back in an hour, but instead he pointed out to my husband and daughter that there was in fact screen PROTECTOR on the iPad and that was what was cracked. In this day and age, you have to reward honesty!! If we ever have a true issue Lectro Tronic can help with, you can bet we will go...

All around great business! We rent a storage locker from them (behind the shopping complex) and we're very happy with that portion of our business dealings, as it's quiet and safe back there. But then my husband's iPhone stopped charging after he dropped it with headphones plugged in. Lectro Tronic fixed his phone in less than 2 hours at a VERY fair price.
