I visited this place recently for the first time after learning of it from the "Mort's Garage" YouTube channel.
This place is awesome! It has a great selection of games from various eras and the staff is great!
I went there with the intention to look around and maybe pick up one or two games but I ended up spending almost $200 on a stack of NES and Game Gear games. I also picked up Darkwing Duck for GameBoy.
They have plenty of boxed games and consoles as well as a few NES "grails" like Snow Brothers, MetalStorm, Cowboy Kid, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers 2, etc.
The prices are fair and they had what I think is a really good selection. Especially for those who collect NES, SNES, and Genesis games.
They also have plenty of millennial faire like original Xbox stuff, GameCube, PS2, and more from that era.
I only have two criticisms. One of them is slightly inconvenient and the other is admittedly nit picky on my part.
First, if you're interested in trades, selling, or working out a deal on a purchase, you can only really do it when the owner is at the shop. If I remember correctly the owner is not there during the weekend or on Wednesdays. So, that could be a little inconvenient to carve out time to go there to sell or trade games; especially if you do not live close by and work a regular 9-5.
Second, there is a lot of pristine boxed consoles displayed on a shelf on the left wall. Unfortunately, none of them are for sale! They are pieces from the owners personal collection. They really do make the store look nice but I got my hopes up for some of them before realizing they were off limits. I realize this is totally nit picking though!
Consoles on the shelf behind the front counter and in a display case to the right of the front counter are for sale!
All together, I REALLY like this store and it is great to see retro stores like this in So Cal without having to go to Frank & Sons. I will be coming back here again!

Read moreEdit: They’re lying. Whoever wrote that response should be ashamed and embarrassed to lie. No one was in his store when I arrived. No one was there when I received the trade in value.
To lie to that extent that I created a scene? I told you in your face thank you but no thanks on the value and I left.
This place is a complete and utter scam. Save your money and buy on eBay or literally anywhere else.
Trade in prices are horrendous. They don’t give offers over the phone to bring you into the store if you want cash they takeoff 50%. Only for them to sell it for even more than you could find on eBay.
It was such a waste of time to come in today. Everything inside is so over priced.
If you like to overpay for games by all means come here. There are tons of mom and pop game stores that don’t try to blatantly rob their customers like here.
Cashier that was there today is pretentious and thinks he knows so much and how “rare” the stuff they have is. Brother half the games you have for over $50 are 15-20 at GameStop RIGHT NOW.
I’ll pass on this spot. I’d rather throw my...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING. This was my first time going to a video game store outside of gamestop and I really enjoyed my experience due to the great customer service that was provided. I was looking for PS3 games for my younger brothers to play. Some of these games included Rock Band. To my surprise, I was able to find the Beatles Rock Band set that I had as a kid. Because it was missing a guitar dongle, the owner gave us a reasonable price than for what it was being sold online. He helped me find the dongle on ebay so that I can utilize the complete set. I was able to share the experience of playing a game I loved as a kid with my younger brothers thanks to this store. He was generous to give us an extension on the warranty as I waited for the dongle to be shipped in case the system did not work, which was not needed since it worked perfectly. I will definitely be coming back...
