UPDATE 9/20/24: Again, I bled by the same nail lady this time from tweezers. It's beginning to be hard to go back and I hate to be that person to turn down a nail tech due to bad experiences but I should NEVER BLEED at a nail salon! Original review: The salon is always beautifully decorated and clean. They have decent prices and they play family appropriate content in English like AGT on the TV which I love.. Unfortunately, they only have uv ray gel machines & some techs know little English. I enjoy getting discount text messages, it really lures me into the salon. There is a nice young male tech who takes his time and does a good job & knows more English but his massage is very light unless you ask him to go harder. There is a much older female tech maybe in her 60's who does a nice job but is painfully slow. I'd rather get out of the chair sooner than later. Today, I Had a young female do my manicure and unfortunately she cut my skin with the drill. They took precautions thereafter & soaked my wound with this infection control liquid which did not burn. I refused to place my newly wounded finger into the gel machine for my own health precaution and they kindly gave me a regular polish on that finger and said I could come by in a few days to change it for gel. They also provided me with a design that I requested and I was overall satisfied but the experience could have...
Read moreI came here for a mani/pedi because I was in the area that day. First the good side: they were flexible with scheduling and had availability. The place was clean and spacious. The cuticle cleaning and shaping of my nails was well done. Here is where they can improve: I arrived at 5:53pm for a 6:00pm appointment and it did not start till 6:15pm. No problem, I get it that it happens. I got a regular mani/pedi and was given the color wheel usually used for gel polish. I asked to see the color I chose and I was told no. I soon realized why-the brand of gel color they have comes with a free regular polish and that is what they use for mani/pedis. It was weird to not see the polish bottle first, but okay fine. What prompts my 2-star review is the quality of the polish; it was old and thick. My nails chipped in less than 24 hours and it took me 30 minutes (!!!) to remove this horrible polish. I had to use a nail filer because polish remover was not enough. I wish they had just asked me to pick another color once they opened...
Read moreMy neighborhood salon that I love. I get almond acrylics every time and sometimes ask for some more basic nail art - hearts or flowers based on photos from instagram. This place is a good middle of the road, no frills kind of place. Do they have xmas decorations they never take down? Yes. Are the manicurists sweet, skilled, and reliable? Also yes.
I like the pedicure with the orange squeeze and hot stones. Both refreshing and relaxing, and the oranges fill the air with such a nice scent.
My personal gripe is that I feel like they don't market themselves like they should - they don't take names for appointments and after visiting every month for more than a year, they don't know mine. It just seems like a missed opportunity to build loyal customers. Offering specials during holidays or private parties for weddings might help them as well. I just want to see a small...
