BUYER BEWARE--KYLE SHOES--BUYER BEWARE! I saw an earlier post from someone complaining about them(on social media) but wanted to give them a try as I suffer from chronic back pain and want cute shoes. They carry alot of the brands I know and love. I was there last week and bought a pair of Alegria flip flops and Revere sandals for $236 and some change. The shoes are great and fit so I didn’t keep my receipt.... a few days ago I noticed the print layer on my flip flops was starting to peel. I went into Kyle Shoes yesterday for them to help me with this. This obviously is a manufacturer defect in the flip flop. I was told there was nothing they could do and it was my responsibility to call Alegria! A customer is supposed to call the manufacturer.....that is why retail stores are to stand behind the brand. I was told there was no way for them to order me a new pair of the same style....I had to pick from the same selection that was available the week before and I only liked the one I purchased. Only store credit for a defective shoe? HORRIBLE COMPANY THAT DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! They just want to give you store credit so you have to spend more...
Read moreI bought a pair of slides at Kyle's Shoes in Sun City West, AZ. Kitley Walk Tan on May 3, 2024. They only do exchange only. I wore them around the house once and could not get the three velcro straps on the right shoe to stay closed. I reset the velcro and tried walking the dog. The velcro would not stay connected. After more that 10 attempt to secure the velcro, they would not stay at all. The left shoe did not have that problem. I had to walk home barefoot on the right. If I only needed my left leg, there would be no problem.
Kyle's receipt says exchange only within 30 days. see attached. My husband and I tried to exchange these for a different Clark's sandal today, May 11, and they said they would not take them back because they were worn. Seriously, how would you know there was a defect without wearing them? And to “call Clark's or take them to a shoe repair.” My husband and I owned our own business for 40 years. We taught retail customer service to thousands of front line workers for several major corporations. I wanted to treat myself and buy some good quality shoes, but Jody rushed and pressured me with my decision and I ended up buying 3 pairs. Within 10 days of wearing one of the pairs, the top part of the shoe had rips in them, each foot! I returned them to Jody and she will have nothing to do with me. She said contact the manufacturer. They are in Europe!!! I contacted their distributer and they told me Kyle shoes are responsible. I went 3 times to ask to just exchange them for a different pair and I asked to speak to Caesar, the owner. She lied and gave me an incorrect phone number...it was to their store and not him! She will not relay a message to Caesar for him to contact me. I asked her, what would you do if you spent $250 on one pair of shoes and they fall apart in 10 days? She replied, Quote: "I'd throw them in the garbage and buy a new pair." I have never been treated soooooooo badly and felt so cheated out of a lot of money!!!
